"Yeah." I nodded at him, now curious about why he was acting strange.
When Sebastian opened the bedroom door, he came face-to-face with Marco. Marco threw him a curious glance, while he momentarily greeted him, then left the room.
"So, I see you finally took my advice. Not bad, a bit young though." Marco affirmed, setting his shopping bags down onto the carpet floor.
"No, you've got it all wrong. We're just friends, Sebastian's like my little brother."
"Girl, you'd have to be blind not to see how that the boy has a sappy crush on you. He's like a love sick puppy."
"I highly doubt that. And even if he did like me, it's never going to happen."
"Why not? Have some fun. It's not like you're into anyone else." I tried to look anywhere else but directly in his eyes, which probably gave me away. The hint of skepticism he was now giving me made it really difficult to refrain from telling him everything that had happened between Kendall and I.
"You better spill the tea now, sis. Is it the owner of that gym you went to or someone else?" He tapped on his heels impatiently, waiting for me to provide him with the juicy details of my love life.
"Someone else." I muttered.
"Well I'll be damned, this just got spicy." He yipped, seeming more excited than he should be.
"Everyone! Lunch is ready!" Coco's voice echoed loudly throughout the hallway.
"I'll be out in a second, I just need to fix myself up a bit." I told Marco, urging him to head to the dining room without me.
"You're not off the hook. We'll talk about this later." He warned, already out the door.
As soon as the door shut, I shrugged on a pair of baggy sweatpants and a casual tee shirt. I put my hair into a bun, deciding that this would be my attire for the flight back to New York. When I reached the dining area, an array of pizza, chicken wings, and salad had all been set on the table.
"You look so comfortable Sasha. You're making me want to change." Coco groaned from her side of the table, glancing down at her fitted sweater dress and heels.
"Oh yeah. I didn't feel like getting dressed up." I shrugged, taking a seat next to Vivian.
"Excuse me everyone, I think I'm going to take Sean's food to him. He's working on securing a property for one of his clients, so he won't be joining us at the table." Isabella proudly informed the group, grabbing two plates of food and heading for their bedroom. I was beginning to notice that Sean was also a workaholic. Perhaps, it ran in the friend group.
Just as she left, Kendall walked in. He was wearing a knitted grey sweater and navy chinos, paired with crisp black converse. This was one of the most casual looks I'd seen him in. Casual or not, he still managed to look like he'd come straight out of a Calvin Klein catalogue.
He took the vacant seat left by Isabella, which had been on the other side of the table, but still within viewing distance from me. Observing him closer, I noticed how his skin seemed a little paler and his nose a little redder than I remembered them being last night.
"You don't look so good, man. You okay?" Ahmad asked, proceeding to take a lingering bite from his cheese pizza.
"I'm fine. Just a bit under the weather, I suppose." I couldn't help the guilt that began to arise, as I wondered whether the time he'd spent with me had been the cause of his sickness. Given, we had been outside for at least an hour.
"Kendall, I have some DayQuil, in case you need any?" Jennifer suggested, soothingly rubbing his back. After Sebastian had confided in me about the nature of their relationship, I eyed her with much more contempt. It didn't help that she had her hands running all over my man and he had made no effort to stop her.
