S.O.A.P. (Songs Of A Past)

38 10 5

In a perpetual sleep
Wind chimes
Beauty fades from ocean blue eyes
Scenes of his past flows through time
Like a leaf floating upstream
Like demons singing hymes
Ostracized by society
Fear of crows
Breaking his bones
Darkness blares into my pores
Corrupted to my core
Denied visitation
Of peace and hopeful songs
Streets that once sang his praise
Now blacken his name
So kids won't remember his face
Those who bury his name in hatred
Used to worship the ground he grace
One can look back and ask
What has changed
Is it the king or the beggar
Normality has changed
His face is forgotten
His sacrifice unrecognisable
I wonder if they would see him now
If he striped to his nakedness in front of them
