Atelophobia: the fear of not being perfect enough
Athazagoraphobia: the fear of being forgotten

Fear
I am young, but I have seen a lot. I've seen people go about living their lives acting like everything is
okay, while they ignore the the mess they are inside. Pass it off with an "Oh I'm just tired." or a
"Nothing's wrong." I do it once and awhile. But why not? Why actually go through having to
face yourself when you can just play a character. Once a while I like to sit back and watch, it's
actually quite intriguing. Try it sometime. Put yourself on the outside, watch, listen and you realize,
Everyone has fears. Every single person, anywhere. at any time is afraid of something.
Don't believe me?
Let me just start by telling you:
People. Are. Afraid.
Don't let them fool you.
They're just afraid to admit it.
People are afraid of the unknown.
Afraid that they're going to reach a window.
Look outside and see nothing.
That one day they're going to catch their refection and actually have to pause, and think, about who they are.
What they have become.
People are afraid of not being needed.
That they're going to turn and walk away, and hear no one call after them.
To still be holding on, while the other person is already five miles in the other direction
Afraid of being dispensable
Of disappearing without a trace,
A spare thought washed away by time.
People are afraid of regret.
Afraid they did the wrong thing
and caused someone else to be afraid.
People are afraid of forgiveness.
Because they're scared that they wont forgive themselves.
People are afraid of love.
That they'll give everything they have.
And get nothing in return.
People need something to believe in.
Something to cling to as they mask their fear.
That one thing they let fool them into sleeping sound at night.
So they don't have to be afraid anymore.
But you can't get rid of fear.
Heck people are afraid to be afraid.
To be classified as weak.
You can hide it, cope with it, build a life around it, or create a fantasy where it ceases to exist.
But there is one truth in this tangled mess:
People.
Are afraid of themselves.
