The Rose song was Dakota's first writing opportunity for HSMTMTS, this comes in the second season where Santana finally breaks free from not only how People view her, but also from how her parents left her and how she won't let her circumstances define her. This was a personal one to Dakota and she asked Tim to put it in and he said yes.

Sour was Dakota's debut album that consists of eleven songs all written at different time periods in her life, some from when she was a teenager and some from her more recent experiences it's the perfect blend between heartbreak mixed with feminine rage that people are scared for women to feel

This was the second season where Dakota got a writing opportunity, after the success of sour it seemed right to make a new song this song was created with the fact that Santana was entering her senior year in mind and that she was ready to start a new chapter in the California summer camp that they were all attending. (It reflected into Dakota's real Life too)

This is a song that Dakota wrote for season four and while the release date for this is unknown, she performed it at D23 and she shared it with the crowd, to give them a little better insight into what Santana's arc was going to be in season four of the show. (Written in Romania)
