"That's me." He smiles that wonderful, cheeky-

Stop it.

"I n-never took you for a party person." I chuckle awkwardly.

"D-ditto." He mocks.

As we were awkwardly looking at each other, questions were racing through my mind.

Why is he talking to me?

Why now?

Is he some kind of douche?

What do I do?

"So I heard you're friends with Willow Natter." He crushes his plastic cup and throws it in a near by can.

That's why.

"Yeah."

I turn around to see if the person sitting at the bar was still there but he was no where to be seen.

"Do you mind introduc-"

"Shut up." I snap rushing past Chris, who is for a fact, a douche.

I give a small smirk as I take a quick glance at his shocked expression.

Good job Cindy, good job.

"Cindy! Have you seen Jasmine?" Willow shouts over the pumping music.

"No." I sigh stretching out my neck to look over the sweaty people.

Willows groans and stomps away shoving people to the side and hollering Jasmine's name.

Having enough of this environment I walk into a dimly lit hallway, with walls covered in velvet.

"Charlie." Someone says and I stop in my tracks.

"Look, I know it's hard but, you have to get over it!"

Jasmine.

"Get over it? Easy for you to say." Mendi snaps, his voice raspy, but still very professional.

"Charlie. I've known you for for fifteen years now. The least you can do is-"
Her voice is cut off by quiet sobs.

I'm not sure what I should do.

Go in?

Leave?

"So you've found out."

I snap my head back jumping up from the startling voice.

"Jonah." I huff holding my chest as my heart pounds.

His hair is tousled and he looks less quirky and more tired.

"Found out about what?" I ask stepping closer to the tired heir.

"You don't know?" He asks genuinely surprised.

"Not really."

"Mendi's dad died not to long ago. He still isn't over it." Jonah shrugs.

"O-oh."

"Yeah, and Jasmine is his, so called support, supposedly they're dating, but no one knows entirely." He gives me one of Gus's signature 'what can you do' faces.

I don't know why, but when he said that. I sunk. My limbs felt heavy and I felt like I lost hope.

Of what? You might ask.

I don't even know.

"I see. I need some air." I mutter pushing past him and outside.

"Wait, Cindy!" Jonah follows behind me.
