Max's POV:

What...just happend? I saved that girl from being strangled to death, then she says I shouldn't have and just walks away. I shook my head and stood up from my crouching place on the floor. And that's why I chose to be a villain. But something wasn't right with her. Why did she say she was the school freak? I looked at the corner where I last saw her go around. I was just about to go after her when I heard my Phoebe's voice behind me, "Max? What are you doing out here? The cafeteria is that way." She pointed in the opisite direction of where I was about to go. So she didn't go to the cafeteria. "What's wrong?" Phoebe asked. "Did you finally lose the few brainsells you had left?" "Ha ha, very funny," I said sarcastically and glared at her. "For your information, I just saved someone's life and literally got scolded by her for it!" I yelled, frustrated. "Her? Wait, did she have brown hair, dark rings under her eyes and always holds her books close to her with her head down?" Phoebe asked. That sounds about right. "Yeah, why?" I replied. "I sat next to her in homeroom. Her name is Maggie," Phoebe said. Maggie. I made a mental note in my head to remember that. "But if you want my advice," Phoebe continued, "Stay away from her. Cherry said she's a total freak." That made my blood boil. "Since when were you the one to judge someone before you even know them huh?!" I yelled. "You'll believe anything you hear without even hearing the real story! You didn't see what I saw! There is someting going on here and I'm going to find out what it is!" A look of guilt washed over Phoebe's face and she was about to say something but I stormed off after Maggie before she could. I don't even know why I'm standing up for her but there's just something about her that makes me want to help her, even if she doesn't want it.

Maggie's POV:

I walked down the hallway, not really caring where I was going. I just couldn't do this anymore. Why did this always have to happen to me? 'Because you souldn't even be alive.' I stopped dead in my tracks. 'Just imagine how much better things would've been if you were never born. Your mother would still be alive and happy with you father, not having a care in the world. Everyone at school would be happier, not having to look at someone as descusting as you everyday. Everything would be beter.' A tear slipped down my cheek. It's true. My mom would still be here if it wasn't for me. I looked to my side and saw a door with a sign on it saying 'Music Room'. I slowly opened the door and stepped inside. The first thing I saw, was a beautiful black piano in the middle of the room. A small smile crept onto my mouth. I remember how my mother and I would always sit at the piano and she would show me how to play. I always loved the sound of her voice mixed with the soft sound of the piano. I closed my eyes and allowed another tear to fall. I made my way to the piano and sat down. My fingers slowly started gliding over the keys. Without even realizing it, I started to play a song that I had wrote when my father had first hit me. The words effortlessly slipped out of my mouth and my hands automatically played the right keys. I got lost while I sung. (Song on the side):

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace

The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

"You have a beautiful voice," I heard a voice behind me say once I had finished. 'Hah, that's the joke of the year.' I whirled around and saw Max standing in the door frame.  "H-How much did you hear?" I asked in a shaky voice. "All of it. Who was that song about?" he asked, stepping closer to me. "Nobody," I said a little to quickly. 'You're a pathetic liar.' Max raised one of his eyebrows in a 'really' look. "I have to go," I said quickly and grabbed all my stuff. I headed for the door but Max stoped me by grabbing my arm. Not hard but firm. "Why do you always do that?" "What do you mean?" I asked but I already knew what he meant. "Why do you always walk away when I'm trying to talk to you?" he asked and tried to look me in the eyes but I refused to make eye contact. "I-" I was interrupted by the bell ringing. Talk about being saved by the bell. "Now I really have to go," I said. I got out of his grip and walked out the door. 'That was way to close. You beter watch yourself you little bitch!'
