"Of course, my lord. We'll have the dragon here soon. We were notified of his arrival into the kingdom mere hours ago, so there won't be much wait anymore."

The blonde-headed man rose to his feet, nodding in an approving, yet dismissing way. The guard in front of him returned his nod, and slipped out of the room, leaving the man alone. The man sighed lightly, wandering around as thoughts and worries ran through his head. Worries of how he might contain this beast that was on its way. After all it was a dragon shifter, not a prisoner. He had no means to harm it, in fact, with it being the last dragon known to mankind, he wished to become its ally at the least.

A ferocious growling sound interrupted his thoughts. He turned towards the cause of the noise, only to find himself on the ground, a larger man's face very close to his. Except this man bore horns that twisted outwards, a spiked tail, that thrashed aggressively, and large wings that had closed them into a bubble.

"So..this is the dragon I was told was being brought to me. I must say..you don't seem very ready to be at least a little compliant. I suppose I should try to explain and answer any questions you may have?" The blonde asked, his voice calm, and steady.

The redheaded shifter looked at him with an almost surprised face, his weight shifting upwards and off of him. "...Apologies. I'd expected you might be more..offensive when we met. So, I had decided to defend before I could be attacked." He got to his feet, lending the other a hand. "Kirishima. Eijirou, Kirishima."

"I am very pleased to make your acquaintance, Eijirou. Regardless of the defensive start. I am Katsuki. Katsuki Bakugou. King of Evindel, obviously.

"Yes- I've heard of your kingdom. It's rather well-fed, and joyful compared to other kingdoms." The shifter praised, smiling a bit at the thought.

"Of course. I value my kingdoms strength very deeply. And they can't be strong if they aren't fed, and housed. And kept happy. I have..a charity act if you will. For those who are in need at this time. I help them get a fresh start." Bakugou sighed, "However, I did not ask you here on account of my kingdom's health. I asked you here out of curiosity, and, dare I say, the want for allies. I wish to befriend all those I can, even if they are few."

Kirishima gave a light nod, a smile slipping onto his face. "I see! Well, I wish you to know that although it may have been your race to have caused such lack in my species..I cannot blame you. It was not a choice your people had made. It was one your grandparents had, and their grandparents before them."

The blonde nodded gratefully, motioning for the dragon to follow him. "Come, walk with me. I have so much I wish to know. That is, if you don't mind?"

"You're not serious are you? I mean, you're saying that you've been the reason so many kingdoms have lost so many of the books?" He paused, eyeing the dragon curiously. "Hm..." he chuckled lightly, "You wouldn't happen to have been the reason all my 'silver crow' books have mysteriously disappeared, would you?"

Kirishima turned his head, averting the blonde's gaze as his cheeks turned a bright pink color. "I'm not sure what you mean, your liege." His head turned back towards the other upon hearing laughter from him. "I- oh hush you! I was curious, and- I mean- you seemed to enjoy them so much!"

"Oh?" The blonde quirked a brow, tilting his head. "Did a little spying in your free time did you?" He fell silent, waiting for an answer from the redhead. Eventually, he got a soft, red faced, yes from him. He chuckled softly. "It's alright, really. All you did was take a few books, it's not like you took currency from my kingdom." He sighed softly, his slow-paced walk continuing. "Yknow, most dragons I read about stole gold, and treasures. Is that not true?"

"Huh-? Oh! Yes, it's true! But not in my race of shifters. Those dragons are just- ugh. They give the ruby shifters such a bad rap. Rubies value intelligence. Although, as I was left alone, I learned I didn't know how to read your language..it was..disappointing, to say the least."

Katsuki stared in silence, his jaw slack in shock, and his eyes wide. "I'll read them to you-!" He froze, shocked at his own words, causing him to stumble over his next words. "I- I mean! If you want me to that is!"

The redhead's eyes lit up joyfully, and he nodded rapidly.

Katsuki snuggled comfortably against the dragon's side, book in hand. He felt the shifter's warming breathing against his side, and smiled lightly, beginning to read. " 'Elliana raced through the forest, her bare feet brushing the blades of grass as she seemed to fly over them, adrenaline coursing through her veins..."
