I sighed, putting my phone away. I'd finally be graduating high school! I smiled as I saw Ghastlys van pull up outside my house. That's right. My house. I raced downstairs in my grad gown and met ghastly at the door. "Hey miss! Are you ready?" He asked, excited. I grinned and nodded. "Is Skulduggery going to make it?" I frowned. He sighed. "I'm sure he wouldn't miss it for the world!" He smiled and hugged me once more. "Ghastly, are you crying?" I asked, softly. He stiffened but nodded. "Can I tell you something? I think of you as a dad.... It's ok i can stop- " "Val,I don't mind! I think of you as a daughter!" He laughed sheepishly. I wiped away his tears and bounded towards the van. As I swung open the door, I was bombarded with streamers and confetti. "HAPPY GRADUATION!" Tanith, Dexter, Saracen, Anton, Erskine and fletcher yelled. I met fletcher after me and Skul saved him from being murdered because of him being a teleporter. He asked me out but I said no.. My feelings reserved for Skul... Now we're just friends. I squealed in surprise and grinned as I was hugged all around. "Come on we'll be late!" Tanith whined. I laughed and hopped in. Dexter saw my frown. "Don't worry ! He'll be there!" He smiled reassuringly. Saracen grinned while Anton smirked. By now they had all figured it out that I loved Skul. I blushed. For some reason they encouraged it though... I sighed as we began driving.
