"It's wrapped in a small body bag" Wednesday said and Odette smiled "open it up" she encouraged, Wednesday rolled her eyes but zipped open the mini body bag to reveal multiple long black candles "they're supposed to help with visions and plus they smell like death so I thought you'd like it"
"death smells a lot like woodfired pizza crust" Wednesday said as she placed them on the table next to her
Odette smiled before Enid then passed the girl her present, Wednesday slowly unrapped it to reveal the black knitted scarf "what is it exactly?" she asked as Enid smiled, bouncing up and down "It's a snood silly!, I made it in your signature colours. And you wanna know what the best part is?" she asked before reaching into her pockets
"me and Odette have one too!" she squealed, throwing a green snood in Odette's face "We can wear them together to class" she encouraged and Odette laughed to herself as she put it over her head.
"Oh Enid, this is far too unique to wear to something like class, I suggest we wait for a more special occasion" Wednesday said and Enid smiled "like a funeral" she added on afterwards and Odette had to stop herself from laughing
"well in this town you wont have to wait long" Odette shrugged before grabbing her back pack, "I'm off to pick up Astrid from Xavier" she sighed before slugging off through the door.
Enid pouted "I can't believe Astrid is going to bloom with divorced parents".
When the door closed Thing pulled on Wednesdays skirt "what?" she asked as he pointed towards Odette's bed "she has told me off once for going through her stuff I wont do it again" she said before Thing pulled on her skirt harder.
"Oh I'll do it, she wont mind" Enid smiled before hopping over to the bed and looking around "what am I looking for again?" she asked thing who pointed to under the bed, quickly dropping to the floor Enid flipped up Odette's blankets to see the edge of a canvas "it's a painting" she shrugged and pulled it out.
Wednesday turned her head at the painting, "It's Odette" she pointed out and Enid sighed "her wings?" "they're plucked, the most pain any angel can feel is the plucking of one feather" she said as Enid looked up to the Addams girl
"They're all gone"
Wednesday shook her head "we shouldn't have gone snooping" she said as Enid placed everything where it was "Odette doesn't like talking about her past" she added on "which is why we don't tell her we've seen this" Wednesday told Enid who gulped.
she was terrible at keeping secrets.
As her roommates squabled about the painting Odette made her way to Xavier's dorm and knocked on the door. When he opened it Odette was met with the sight of Ajax who smiled "Odette hey!" he smiled and opened the door wider for her "Xaviers still coming from class but he told me you might come by to pick up your kid and when he said that I was like woah you guys had a kid and then I realised he was talking about your plant" he ranted on and Odette laughed "I see your making yourself at home in Rowans old bed" she pointed out the messy bed the boy had come from.
"I was meant to clean it but yunno" he sighed and Odette laughed more "jeezus Ajax, I thought dating Enid would mean you would be less high"
"I'm not high" he said before scratching his neck "only a little bit" he admitted before sitting down on the messy bed "I noticed you and Xavier haven't been talking to each other for the last two weeks" he said and Odette nodded "why?" he asked "It's complicated" she said and he shook his head "Nothings complicated Odie" he told her and she shook her head
"I thought so too until these past few weeks" she shrugged and Ajax nodded
"he told me he was going to fight for you"
Odette turned her head at the gorgon "what?" she asked "he said he was going to fight for you because he doesn't want to lose you, like last night after the failed surprise party he was smiling because you were talking to him for the first time in a week" Ajax stated and Odette smiled
"really?" she asked, a glimmer of hope in her eyes and he nodded "but like don't tell him I told you okay" he said lifting his pinkie finger "promise" he asked "sure promise"
The door opened when Xavier walked in and he furrowed his eyebrows at the sight of his best friend and Odette pinkie promising something. "Are we still in grade five guys?" he asked as Odette rolled her eyes playfully "nope but some of us haven't been to the hairdresser since grade five" she teased and Xavier rolled his eyes "my hair is immaculate actually" he answered before walking into his wardrobe to grab Astrid.
"What were you guys even talking about anyways?" he asked and Ajax seemed to go into panic mode, stepping in front of him Odette answered for him "he's nervous to go into Enid's dorm for the first time" she lied
"Enid's dorm is your dorm?" he questioned as he gave her the flower and the book where they wrote everything down "oh yeah" she said "bad choice of words" she fake laughed before quickly turning around and walking out their dorm.
Ajax turned to Xavier "keep fighting for her dude"
