with soft smiles and kind faces.

initial touches and delicate words.
She fell in love
with every man that treated Her as more than meat.
romanticizing
the bare minimum and space between lines,
which were simply
not there.
She fell in love daily
even when it hurt
even when it did not make sense
even when they did not deserve it.
She fell in love with the idea of love
and found it in places where it did not exist:
in lust
in anger
in sex
in pain.
She fell in love with anyone who feigned affection,
feigned for Her.
She found comfort in the lie.
