Okay?
Would they even think we look good together after they discover the feud we're having?
"Their names match." Danny added.
Facepalm!
"Lunch is almost over and Delilah hasn't eaten yet." Mia commented, worried about her.
Delilah doesn't like you. Why worry about her?
I can practically read her expression when Mia is talking to her.
Complete annoyance.
"Sam!" Julie snapped her fingers infront of me.
Quit that!
"Could you check on Delilah? You can ask her if she wants to eat." She stated.
Since guilt is eating me, I decided to do what she asked.
I reached the library and saw her talking to some jock.
Wow, she seems fine.
And here I was feeling guilty. Looks like she just wants attention.
I decided I wouldn't invite her to lunch. Let her starve!
I went near them so her fun would be interrupted. There is relief on her expression.
I told her that I'll be a little late in our session.
I'll make her wait.
Just like I planned, I didn't invite her. After all, Julie only told me to check on her.
The bell rang and I went to my next class.
-------------------------------------------
The last class ended but I stayed longer in the classroom.
After 15 minutes, I decided to end Wilkinson's misery.
I reached the library and saw her reading a book. Without warning, I sat infront of her, making her jump a little.
She gulped and closed the book she's reading and opened one for our session.
"Okay, let's start."
Delilah tried to teach me, but I can see that she's not doing it properly.
Something is bothering her.
It's you and your harsh words, idiot!
My subconscious told me.
This is getting annoying.
Wilkinson can't teach me properly, because I'm infront of her and we are having a hard time since one of us can see the book upside down.
I decided to sit beside her.
She took a sharp breath and shifted away from me.
So she's not used to being near boys, huh?
I don't care about it. I just want to learn more.
I move a little bit closer which made her gasp.
Tsss. As if I like this.
We did finish something for a few minutes, but it ended there.
She is getting annoying, moving away inch by inch. I can feel her movements and it's hard to concentrate.
"Would you stay still?!" I hissed at her, and held her arm.
She slapped my hand and moved a bit further.
Again.
"Don't touch me!"
Really? I scoffed at her.
"I'm doing it so you would stop moving. I'm trying to focus here."
She rolled her eyes. "Whatever."
I raised my brow at her. "Don't tell me you're assuming that I like you."
"Excuse me?!"
I smirked. "Well you did, didn't you? Sorry but I don't like people like you."
She's very assuming. She's not my type. I will never like someone who is my competition.
"God! You and your ego." She said exhasperatedly. "Why would I even think that? You're the one who's assuming."
I chuckled at her expense. "Yeah, yeah keep telling me that. But if you like me, just stop. I don't like fake people."
She huffed. "You know what? I don't know what is your problem! Why do you keep insulting me? Are you jealous huh? Because I have higher grades?"
"Me, jealous? I'm not. You know, you should say goodbye to being the smartest student."
I can see a nerve twitch but she calmed herself by taking a few breaths.
Wow, she's expert at hiding her feelings.
"You know what? If you have a problem with me being smart, then just study. Why do you keep insulting me? Does that make you feel better?" She said in a whisper, hurt is evident in her face.
She packed her things, and quickly left the library.
I looked at the librarian who is shaking her head at me.
I messed up again.
Damn.
