IN THE livingroom of the Mayfield home, the others sat around and Val finally took her seat, rubbing her arm as she did. She began telling them first about Vecna, about who he really is, about what she saw. Henry. Number One, the first one way before El. Then she took a moment before glancing up at them, seeing Steve's stare on her, sitting by Eddie who's staring at him with that same look in her eyes.

Worry. Concern. "He showed me things that haven't happened yet." She started, her voice a bit rough as her eyes meet Nancy who's standing by Dustin, both staring in concern as well. No pity. Val is unsure why she thought they'd take pity on her for the scary situation she was put in with Vecna and such.

They know what it's like. "The most awful things." She said then she glanced down, remembering what she was shown. "I saw a dark cloud spreading over Hawkins. Downtown on fire. Dead soldiers. And this... this giant creature with a gaping mouth. And this creature wasn't alone." She shook her head, looking down as she fidgets with her hands. "There were so many monsters."

"An army." She added, glancing up then rubbing her hands over her face. "And they were coming into Hawkins. Into our neighborhoods. Our homes. And then... he showed me my family. He even showed you guys..." She looked up, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "Steve... Robin... the kids, and they... they were all--" she stops herself to take a breath, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. "He's just trying to scare you, Val." Steve spoke up, looking at her and she looks at him right away. "Right? I mean, it's not real..." He said and she just looks at him.

"Not yet. But there... there was something else. He showed me gates. Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these gates, they looked like the one at Eddie's trailer. But they... didn't stop growing. And this wasn't the Upside Down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home." She says, rubbing her eyes and wiping away the tears as she looked down.

"Four chimes." Max says and Val looks over quickly. "Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times." She says, looking at Val. "Four exactly." She says and Val glances away. "I heard them too." She said, continuing to fidget with her hands. "He's been telling us his plan this whole time." Max says, looking around at them before looking at Valerie once again.

"Four kills. Four gates." Lucas spoke up, looking over at Max with concern then he glanced away, "end of the world." He says and Dustin looks over. "If that's true... he's only one kill away." He says and Eddie spoke up, "oh Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ." He covers his face and Val let out a shaky breath as Robin reached over to her, grabbing her hand gently.

"Try 'em again. Try 'em again." Steve told Max, so Val glanced over at the girl who walks over to the phone, dialing the Byers home in California, what they'd been trying to do when she was in the bathroom earlier, to catch the others on the phone. As she did that, Val stares at her interlocked hand with Robin's, the blonde's thumb rubbing her hand.

Not long after, Max put up the phone and Nancy looks over. "Anything?" She asks. "No. Rang a few times, then went to busy signal." The redhead answered with. "Maybe you punched it in wrong. Try again." Steve says and Valerie scrunched up her face. "She's a 15 year old teenage girl, not a baby, I think she's perfectly capable of calling the right phone number?" She says and Max nods her head.

"Yes, thank you, Val. I didn't punch it in wrong." Max says pointedly at Steve and he shrugs. "Well, I don't know." The Harrington says as Eddie looks at him. "Wild guess but I think she knows how to use a phone." He says so Steve looks at the Munson. "I'm just saying. She could've typed it in wrong." He says and Val rolls her eyes as Eddie looks away, scoffing. Max hangs up again, practically slamming it, "same shit." She turns around.
