The Next Day...

Please Excuse Any Mistakes!❤️

"Just call me back, man. This getting old now."

Treyton had been calling Farah ever since the night before. Once she left she stopped answering for everyone, Cicely included. He didn't know where she was and on top of that she had an appointment to check on the progress with their baby. Not to mention he was missing Novah.

"She still isn't answering?"

"No, ma. And she stopped sharing her location too. She could be anywhere right now."

"May-."

Cicely was cut off by the front door opening. Farah walked in with a sleeping Novah in her arms, and she knew she wasn't supposed to be lifting her. She panned her attention over to her husband who had a hard look stuck on his face and just continued up the stairs.

"I'm about to go talk to her. How she gonna come in here like that?"

"Maybe you should give her some time, son. Let her get her thoughts together."

"She had all night, ma. I'm tired of waiting already. She's too old to be acting like that."

Cicely just sighed and shook her head. She knew that the situation was tiring to Treyton, hell it was tiring to her as well. She, however, didn't place any of the blame on Farah because of the fact that she chose to step up in the girl's life all those years ago.

"Just don't yell at her. She doesn't need anymore stress added on to what she may already be feeling."

Trey nodded his head and started climbing the stairs. He didn't know how he would start the conversation, but he knew they had to have it. Of course he didn't mean what he said; he was just upset. He would never blame his wife on any other day, but seeing Cicely shook up like that was something he couldn't get out of his mind.

Once Trey made it up the stairs, he stopped by Novah's room. She had already been put down so he quietly walked in and gave her a light kiss on her forehead. He eased back out and cracked her room door. Now making his way to he and Farah's room, he saw through the crack in the door Farah packing a suitcase.

"So you just finna leave? You don't wanna talk?"

Farah just continued what she was doing once he walked in. She felt that she didn't have to explain anything to him because he already had his mind made up. She felt like it was selfish of Treyton to say what he did.

"This shit childish, Farah. You know that, man. Let's talk."

"Ain't nothing to talk about. You spoke your mind and that was that."

"You know I ain't mean that. You KNOW that."

"Clearly I don't know anything. You keep hollering about you ain't mean it but you said that shit a little too easily for me."

Treyton just looked at her. That's when he noticed the tears building up in her eyes. He didn't like this; he felt stupid.

"I ain't mean it, bae. C'mon now."

Farah stopped packing and turned to look at him. She saw that he was telling the truth by looking in his eyes, but she couldn't accept it.

"Then why say it? Huh? You don't think I feel responsible already? I gotta put up with this shit more than anybody, Trey. I gotta watch over my shoulder because I'M getting threatened! I gotta make sure I keep both of my kids safe; ME!"

"YOU AIN'T IN THIS ALONE!"

"WELL IT FEELS LIKE IT!"

That one small statement caught Trey by surprise. What did she mean by that? Was he being that dismissive?

"I always wake up with Novah at night. I don't even let her cry long enough to wake you up. She had nightmares, terrors, and she always wetting herself. On top of that I have to make sure I keep myself as healthy and stress free as possible, and that's hard when it feels like you're not right there with me. I ALWAYS invalidate my feelings to make sure you don't worry about anything! ME!"

Trey just looked at her. He didn't know what to say; he didn't know half of this was going on. She had been holding all of that in with nobody to talk to and he didn't know.

"What? Why didn't you tell me, bae?"

"I knew how you felt about all of this and I didn't want to add onto that. They've ran into me while I was alone, Trey. Alone! I'm scared for my life right now."

Farah couldn't get anything else out because she broke down in tears. She had been holding this information in for only lord knows how long, and she had officially reached her breaking point. She was tired.

Treyton rushed to her side but she wouldn't let him get near her.

"I don't wanna hear anything else, boo. I just want this all to be over. I'm sorry that I brought all of this in you and Cicely's lives, but it was never my intent."

"I didn't mean that stuff, boo, I swear. I know I shouldn't have said it, I know. But I was just upset. I want this to all be over just as much as you. I promise I'm sorry; I'll spend however long making sure you know just how much."

Farah looked at him to try and find any form or deception. She wanted to find some so bad because she wanted a reason to leave and let him be for a while; she wanted him at peace just as much as she wanted herself.

"I'm not lying, mama. Promise."

"I believe you. I just don't know what to do from here. I don't want to argue with you every time they do something because I really can't control it. I'm sorry."

Treyton grabbed her arm this time and pulled her into a hug. He put his chin on top of her head and just held her; they both needed it.

"Don't worry about that right now, bae. Let's just focus on what we've been doing; they're getting theirs. Believe that."

"Don't do anything to get yourself in any trouble please."

"I won't. I have too much to lose. Now, let's talk about these threats and shit and figure out what we're gonna do. And we're having a heart to heart right after."

Farah just nodded with her head still in his chest. She was happy they had somewhat made up, but she knew deep down that this would probably be the least of their worries.
