"Radha, come" Krishn says approaching.
"Radha? Are you sure you did not fight?" Aunt Yashoda asks as she looks at us.
"Ma, Radha and I were having a conversation and we had some disagreement and then she ran to you, can the two us talk" Krishn asks about to take my hand
"I actually have to talk to you about Revati's clothes for her engagement ceremony, Aunt Yashoda" I tell her
"About the clothes they will decide on a seamstress, right mother? Come" Krishn drags me towards the door
"I am not going outside Krishn" I pull at my hand
He looks at me and tightens his hold on me, not too tight though
"Okay" He drags me back to that room
And I let him. He is not letting me go. I understand that much
He stands in front of me and we look at each other
"Are you going to talk? Or are you going to look at me?" I ask
"You said I was getting married, right?" He asks
He really wants to talk about it?
"You are the one getting married, why are you asking me?"
"You, why you think I am getting married?"
I lift my shoulders and look around the chamber
"Radha, tell me, why you think I am getting married? And who am I getting married to?"
"Chandrabali" I look at him
"Chandrabali?" He laughs
"Yes Chandrabali. You already had your engagement ceremony"
"I am not getting married to Chandrabali" He laughs more,"she is getting married to Govardhan"
Chandrabali is not getting married to Krishn? And Govardhan?
I sigh in relief- but then- at night in the forest, "you and Chandrabali, what were you doing in the forest and night?" I ask him
"You were there. You came"
"I saw her coming out of the forest in the morning today"
He looks at me intensely. So handsome. He, does he always looks at me like that?
"Radha, tell me do you like me?" He asks and my heart start beating faster
"I I, you, why are you asking me that Krishn?"
"Radha" He comes closer, hands on my arms and his mouth beside my ear
His breath on my neck he says, "I, you can like me. But I want the same rights too"
He then looks at me a lopsided smile on his mouth
And I keep staring at him, feeling dizzy at his sudden closeness, my heart beating faster and my breaths coming from my mouth
So handsome
