"You have friends everywhere and very odd ones on that note." I rolled my eyes and she just laughed. We settled a few minutes later and the drinks were served. I turned my head to her and saw her swaying her shoulders side to side with the music. It was loud and the lights flashed everywhere.

I felt my phone buzz again. I pulled it out and saw my best friend's number flashing on the screen. I sighed, I had spotted him a long ago. I looked over and saw him waving at me from the booth. I couldn't help but smile wide. I looked at Ashley and she had noticed him long ago. She sighed, shaking her head side to side. I knew this was the reaction we were going to get.

I gestured the guard to let him in and he did. Josh made his way towards me and I hugged him tightly. He patted my back before he did a punch-five with Ashley. "You two, whose bleeding?" He said and I rolled my eyes.

"We're no longer killing each other. We're dating now." Ashley said stepping upfront. Josh looked down at her, he was a couple inch taller than me. He raised his brows in realisation. "Prove it." He said nonchalantly looking at me.

I smirked and pulled Ashley towards me, giving her a kiss on her head gently. We both turned to Josh who could die of how pale his face looked. "How the f.." he paused and started glaring at me.
"That's what you get for ghosting your best friend every six-months for new adventures." I shrugged, satisfied.

"Well, If I wasn't here for a fucking meeting, I'd let you know just how pissed I am. At both of you. Seriously. And now I am leaving out of pure anger and would be back after a while." He pulled his phone out which was ringing. He sighed and waved a hand before he left.

"Too many people we know are here." Ashley said as she chugged down a shot of vodka. I couldn't help but stare at her. Was this it? She was finally with me, for me, as mine. I smiled gently when I noticed how she swayed her hips side to side. "Let's go socialise." She grabbed my wrist as she made me follow her downstairs right next to the dance floor. The whole club was dancing anyways.

We ordered a few drinks and I removed my coat, keeping it on the stool. Ashley sat on the stool and I just stood there by her side. We had a few drinks and I couldn't stop thinking of the time when I had met Ashley. I used to be wild, I had such a spirit inside me. "Why would you wear a coat, it's a club, no one cares." Ashley muttered as she stepped down the stool.

"You'll know why." I said tucking her hair behind her ear. She smiled gently as she pushed her way through the crowd still looking at me. And then she started swaying her body side to side before she let the music take control of her head and she danced her heart out. She gestured me to dance with her but I stood there. With my eyes fixed on her smile, her body, her easiness to stand amongst the crowd for me.

She was beautiful no matter what. I loved everything about her. The gentle cellulite on her thighs, to her stretch marks, her lips, her kindness, her wildness, her stubbornness that was in every inch of her blood. Her creativity and her thoughts rendered me weak in front of her. I couldn't help but appreciate, be grateful that she was with me. I placed my whiskey glass on the counter when I saw a guy come up next to her and started dancing.

Ashley looked at me, she didn't stop dancing. My jaw clenched when I noticed him tying to get his hands on her. I felt this strange fire inside of me. I wouldn't wait for a fucking bastard to ruin this moment for us, for me. I made my way towards her and she smirked, wrapping her hands around my neck. The guy stepped back immediately. I passed him a glare before my eyes settled onto Ashley's face.

I put my hands on her back and locked them. "Let me give you a taste of what clubbing is all about." I leaned down as I whispered in her ear. We started moving our body and she turned her back to me pressing it in my chest. Her ass grind against my groin. Her one hand hooked the back of my neck as I swayed with the music.

'It's getting late
I am making my way over to my favourite place
I gotta get my body moving shake the stress away
I wasn't looking for no body when you looked my way possible candidate (yea)
Who knew that you'd be up here looking like you do
You're making staying here impossible
Baby Imma say your aura is incredible
If you don't have to go don't.."

She turned her head looking me in the eye. I felt my lips curl into a smile. I haven't felt this more turned on in years and yet I waited. She muttered every lyric as she turned her body against me once again. Her finger traced my face as she accused me as if she had been Rihanna writing the whole song.

"Do you know what you started
I just came here to party
But now we are rocking on the dance floor acting naughty
Your hands around my waist
Just let the music play
We're hand to hand
Chest to chest
And now we're face to face
I wanna take you away
Let's escape into the music DJ let it play (x2)
I just can't refuse it
Like the way you do this
Keep on rocking to it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music.."

I stared at her face. I couldn't wait anymore. This was it. My heart was about to explode from the adrenaline rush. I put my hand on her cheeks as I leaned down pressing my lips onto hers mumbling her words. I kissed her, finally. "I love you." I muttered again and again against her mouth and I noticed her smile lifting up while she kissed me back. Her hand wrapped around my neck as we kissed. The whole crowd had long blurred.
