विदाई - ऐसा शब्द जो आज तक हमें गैर मामूली ही लगा।अपनी मां की कही हर बात गांठ बांध, घरवालों, सखियों के आशीष से झोली भर ,और झोली भर के अन्न धान,हल्दी कुमकुम के हाथ छाप द्वार पर मांड हम चल दिए एक नए संसार की ओर....अब भी हर एक पल जैसे हमारी आंखों के सामने जीवंत है।....ये विदाई कई मायनों में हमारे जेहन में ताज़ा रहेगी...चाहे गृहप्रवेश ही क्यूं ना हो..जी नहीं,हमारे गृहप्रवेश की नहीं, बल्कि इनके(राम) ,हमारे घर में प्रवेश..हुआ यूं कि जब हम विदाई के लिए घर पहुंचे तो वहां मां को आरती की थाली के साथ पाया,पर हमारा ध्यान जिस बात ने खींचा,वो था देहरी (दहलीज़) पर रखा.. कलश..
Vidaai (farewell) - a word which never held this much importance for me . Imbibing all the "life lessons '' that Maa taught me and taking blessings from the family and friends ,I began a journey towards an all new world after imprinting my hand impressions adorned by turmeric and kumkum(vermilion powder) on the wall as a mark of Laxmi (prosperity and happiness) for my family before leaving them and this house... still the memories of that day are fresh in my eyes.... My farewell will hold a special place in my memory for a host of reasons...be it the Grahpravesh (welcome in the new home)...no,not mine,but his(Ram's),into my house.. actually when we went my home for my vidai,my Maa was seen to be holding the Aarti ki thaali with her but what actually caught my sight was the kalash( brass pot filled with rice/sign of abundance, prosperity) placed on the threshold...
