राम(दरवाज़े की ओर मुड़ते हुए)- जी, आ जाइए।

Ram (turning towards the door)- yes please.

इंद्राणी(हाथ में एक थाल लिए)-क्षमा करना बेटा..

Indrani (handling a plate in her hands)- I am sorry to disturb you,son..

राम ने जैसे ही देखा कि दरवाज़े पर कोई और नहीं,बल्कि उनकी मौसी मां हैं ,वे तुरंत ही उनके पास पहुंच गए..

The moment Ram realised that it was none other but his Mausi Maa on the door,he was prompt enough to reach her..

राम(इंद्राणी का हाथ पकड़ उन्हें भीतर लाते हुए)-मौसी मां,अरे आप भी ना,आपको अनुमति की क्या आवश्यकता है और बल्कि आप मुझे बुला लेती कोई काम था तो ,ख़ुद क्यूं परेशान हुई...?

Ram (holding her hands to make her enter the room)- Mausi Maa,what are you saying?What is the need for asking for my permission? Rather you could have asked me to come if you needed to see me,why did you bother?

इंद्राणी (राम के पलंग पर बैठते हुए)-ज़रूर बुला लेती अगर कोई काम होता तो,पर अपने बेटे से लाड़ करने के लिए तो मां कभी भी आ सकती है ना...?

Indrani (making herself comfortable on Ram's bed)- of course,I could ask you to come if there was so some work but to pamper her son ,a mother can always come, isn't it?..

इंद्राणी के शब्द राम को अमृत से लगे...इंद्राणी ने उन्हें पलंग के पास चौकी पर बिठा दिया और थाल में रखी कटोरी से उनके सर पर तेल लगाने लगी...

Indrani's words were music to Ram's ears... Indrani made him sit close by on a stool and started applying oil from the bowl on the plate..

राम(उनके हाथ पकड़ते हुए)- आप क्यूं परेशान हो रही हैं..?

Ram (Holding her hands)- Why are you getting troubled...?

इंद्राणी (राम को एकटक देखते हुए)- अच्छा,अगर यशोधरा जीजी लगाती तो उन्हें भी यही कहते आप चन्द्र..?

Indrani (glancing at Ram)- Is that so?If sister Yashodhara was there at my place,you would have said the same to her Chandra..?

राम समझ गए कि मां से जीता नहीं जा सकता..बल्कि इस हार में ही संसार समाया है , सो उन्होंने अपने आप को मां के हवाले कर दिया..
