Chapter 13: Weird

Muntik ko ng mahigit ang espadang nakabitin sa gilid ko dahil sa tinuran ng Prinsipe.

Is he out of his mind?

"P. .pardon?" medyo nauutal ko pang sabi.

"You would be my fiancee from now on, Lady Astrid," nakangiting sabi niya.

"Are you insane!?" hindi ko napigilan bunganga na mapasigaw dahil sa sinabi niya.

I've been holding my temper since the day I met the Crown Prince. If I didn't hold my temper, I guess I already end his life.

Unang kita pa lamang namin ay alam ko ng hindi ko siya makakasundo.

"I am not," he said casually and seat on his chair.

I almost threw my sword towards his throat. Huminga ako ng malalim.

"Lumuwag na ba turnilyo mo sa utak dahil sa palagi kang nababagok?" I burst out.

He seat property at his chair and stare at me with so much affection that send chill at my back.

He smile widely,"I guess so. I am in love at first sight at you."

My jaw drop at his sudden confession or bluff. Pinagt-tripan ba ako ng Prinsipe na toh?

I sigh deeply,"Why are you doing this your highness?"

"My father want me to marry a woman who will be the Crown Princess but I am not yet ready with that. So, Lady Astrid, you would serve as my space goat," nakangiti niyang sabi.

"Why can't you find other lady? I am sure anyone would volunteer. . ."

"That's why I choose you because I know that you despise me to the core. If I choose other lady, I am sure they would fall in love with my beauty and I would be trap."

He is really over confident.

"Remember, Lady Astrid. I know your secret. Once it's reveal in the public that you deceive me and the entire kingdom... Do you know what would happen to your family?"seryoso niyang sabi sa akin.

I clean my fist,"Are you threatening me?"

"I am giving you an option. Its either you choose to reveal your identity and let your family die or keep your identity and become my fiancee then your family would be spare," he said plainly.

"But I have my job," ani ko.

"Don't worry about that. Isang beses ka lamang lilitaw sa public. Sa kaarawan ng hari. I would just use your name to stop my parents from. . ."

I cut him off.

"Fine. I'll agree." Sagot ko na lang.

As if I have a choice.

Third Person Point of View

Pagkalabas ni Astrid mula sa opisina ng Prinsipe ay agad na pumasok sa opisina ang kanyang butler.

"Your highness I have a question to ask." Magalang na Sabi ng butler pagpasok pa lamang niya.

He stare at the Prince with a serious expression.

"I would like to repeat the lady said ago. Are you insane your Highness?" seryoso niyang sabi habang mataman nakatingin sa Prinsipe.

Hindi maiwasan na itanong iyon ng kanyang butler dahil sa loob ng dalawampong taon niyang pinagsisilbihan ang pilyong Prinsipe. Ngayon lamang siya nagka-interes sa isang babae.
