George POV.

Ever since the day when I had played minecraft with Dream I had been given a lot more jobs. I wasn’t exactly complaining, after all the quicker I got a load of work done, the quicker I got out of here. Dream had given me a lot more jobs though, jobs that I hadn’t done yet such as cleaning the cars and vacuuming the hallways.

So I was humming quietly to myself as I wiped down the cars in the garage, the smell of petrol filled my nose. I had been in the garage all morning, wiping down Dream’s cars and just giving them a small polish. Sam had been in the corner the entire time, working on a motorbike while watching me out of the corner of his eye.

He hadn’t been annoyed by my humming but I was still cautious, worried he’d get mad and start attacking me for annoying him. I was almost finished with the last car, Dream’s lamborghini, which was sitting right at the front by the garage door.

Suddenly the electronic motors overhead started whirring, and the door started opening. For a couple of seconds I considered running into the driveway and trying to get away, but I decided not to, seeing as I didn’t know who was in the car and they could easily grab me, that is if I didn't get hit by the car as I ran out.

So instead I started backing away, pressing myself up against the lamborghini to make sure that I didn’t get run over by whoever was coming in. A car pulled into the empty spot on my right, a couple seconds later both doors opened and Karl and Sapnap both stepped out.

They had wide grins on their faces as they continued a conversation that they had started from in the car, and so I didn’t say anything to them as I went back to cleaning. I watched out of the corner of my eye as they quickly grabbed some bags and hurried inside, and I noticed that Sam was also glancing over at them, before diverting his attention back to his motorbike.

From overhead the motors whirred again as the door closed behind me, the light that had been streaming in from the open door was gone, and all that was left to stop the room from plunging into darkness was the dim light bulb hanging over each of the vehicles, bathing them in a small pool of light.

I shivered at the crisp temperature of the room before hurrying to finish wiping up the bonnet of the car so I could leave. When I was done I threw the rag I’d been cleaning with into the sink by the door before leaving. Sam barely acknowledged me when I left through the door which connected to the main hallway, under a set of stairs which also led to the basement.

I heard the sound of footsteps, but brushed it off because whenever stuff like this usually happens I just get told to ignore it because it has nothing to do with me. So I pushed all curiosity about the mafia away as I trudged up the stairs, my arms feeling like a pair of weights after having to clean cars all morning.

As I walked down the hallway to my room I passed by Dream’s office, hearing excited whispers coming from inside. The walls were generally soundproof, and so if it sounded like whispers for me then somebody was probably bouncing off of the walls inside of there. My best guess was possibly Karl, and I couldn’t help but wonder what he would be talking about in there.

There couldn’t be much to talk about with your boss that would make you sound cheerful, especially if your boss was a mafia boss. I figured that the only logical explanation was that Karl had won the lottery, or that Sapnap had proposed to him, or he found out that he was going to be a father.

Without even thinking the third option had slipped into my mind, causing me to laugh as I remembered that Karl could not get pregnant, nor could he get Sapnap pregnant. I heard the group fall silent after I let out a small burst of uncontrollable laughter, so I covered my mouth, however I couldn’t help but try to eavesdrop on what they were talking about.

Because of the soundproof walls I couldn’t hear every single word that was passed back and forth, but I managed to hear some of the things they were saying. We have everything…it’s all ready for then… everything you asked for… don’t worry we won’t tell anyone… we’ll keep him busy… a couple days from now...

The two voices merged into one, with me barely being able to differentiate the two, but I was pretty sure that it had to be Sapnap and Karl, and they would obviously be talking to Dream since it was his office.

I couldn't understand the conversation that the three (or possibly more) men were having, and so I decided that I would contact Officer Soot and Officer Blade and say that there seems to be a plan for something in a few days. Without being detected I hurried the last twenty feet to the door of my room so that I didn’t get caught.

Without a word I curled up on my bed and reached under my mattress where I had put my phone the last time I had used it. I sent a text to both of the police officers, explaining briefly that I had overheard a conversation between Dream, Karl, and Sapnap about them having something that they were planning on using for a few days.

Almost immediately after I sent the message I got a response from Techno, asking what I meant because (to be fair), it did kind of sound like I was rambling nonsense. I took a deep breath before rewriting the message, making it make more sense this time. After I sent it there was a longer pause, before Techno simply responded with ‘👍’

I waited a couple of minutes, wanting to double check that he and Officer Soot didn’t have anything else that they wanted to say to me. When it had been a couple of minutes and I hadn’t heard anything, I turned my phone off and hid it back under the mattress.

It was just in time too, seeing as not even a minute after I had hidden my phone in its usual spot there was a knock on the door. I called out, allowing whoever was there to come in and immediately was met with Karl running in the room and jumping onto the bed beside me. I raised an eyebrow in question as he made himself comfortable.

“George,” he hummed out playfully, but with a slight whiny tone. “Do you want to go and do something?” He questioned. “I’m bored.”
My cautious glance drifted over his frame and it made him giggle. “What?” He questioned as I did that.

“Nothing,” I replied. “Just thought that if you were bored you’d want to do something with Sapnap instead of me.”
“He’s fun but he can get kinda bossy.” Karl responded plainly, shrugging off his own words immediately after he said them.

Without giving me a moment to think he jumped up eagerly. “Come on,” he smiled, taking my hand before I could respond and beginning to drag me out of the room.
