what meeting asuka was like

sakusa, hinata, and asuka walked back to the apartment. sakusa was getting obvious stares from asuka, but asuka being so little and not being able to speak, kept the silent stares to himself. shoyo noticed the small occasional stares, but said nothing and kept walking while holding asuka. there was occasional small conversations on sakusa asking hinata about asuka, but other than that it was rather quiet.
once they arrived at the apartment, hinata immediately put asuka down, curious to see what the small child would do with an unfamiliar guest. asuka goes up to sakusa slowly and looks up at him before making grabby hands at him. confused, sakusa slowly turned his head to hinata, who in response smiled and said "he wants you to pick him up..". sakusa nodded before slowly picking him up and smiling. asuka stood firm for a moment before deciding to get comfortable and falling asleep. hinata quickly notices and tries to step in "oh, sorry, ill get hi-" he gets out before getting cut off. "it's okay.. i can hold him.." sakusa says. hinata smiles at him before leading him to asukas room to put him down.

asuka finally woke up after a few hours and he was playing on the floor with sakusa. hinata was in the kitchen, watching them play together. asuka had brought out some toys for him and sakusa to play with. asuka was giggling while sakusa was just watching in awe. occasionally, the baby would start talking gibberish and sakusa would pretend to understand and and give short responses like "yeah?" and "mhm".
hinata finished up in the kitchen and joined the two boys on the floor. hinata and sakusa smile at each other before asuka notices hinata join them. "mamaa!" asuka yelled and made his way over to hinata. "hi baby.." hinata says with a soft smile. asuka gets comfortable in hinatas arms and falls asleep again. "another nap?" hinata says. "hey," sakusa says. "hi, sorry if he was bothering.." hinata says, referring to asuka. "no, he's amazing..i wasnt bothered." sakusa says with a small smile.
sakusa went over to hinata and kissed him softly before letting hinata and asuka lay on him. "this okay?" hinata asks. "yeah, its good..." sakusa responds.
there was a moment of silence."i have a good feeling about us.." hinata says quietly, a small blush beginning to form across his cheeks. "yeah..? me too." sakusa says confidently, a smile present in his voice. "..thank you" hinata says. "thank you for giving me a chance" sakusa says. asuka listening in, finally closes his eyes for good, content with the conversation.
they all fall asleep as they were, happy with what was happening, and cuddling. so far, asuka and sakusa had taken a liking to each other.
this could really be a thing.
