taichi of course, in a sad mood, went to the park across of the café where he and hinata had their meet up. and of course, iwaizumi and oikawa where there too. hinata and sakusa walking together, smiling, laughing, interlocking fingers, made their hearts pang for the same reason whether they realized why or not.
seeing hinata shoyo happy with someone else other than them, gave them a heartbreak. but, why would they care THAT much? they're the ones that messed up their shot with hinata one way or another. it didn't matter if they knew they actually liked hinata, they knew they messed up too badly to have a chance with him anyway.

"but why'd you have to say boyfriend?" hinata laughs out, still remembering the situation they were in just around 10 minutes ago.
"i don't know?" sakusa said, calming himself down
"but don't you think it would be nice?" he adds
"hm?" hinata says as he stops walking and faces towards him
"y'know..you..being my boyfriend?" sakusa replies reluctantly
"well yeah, you're a nice guy.." hinata says while blushing, looking everywhere but sakusas eyes
"..so would you?" sakusa says, almost in a whisper
"will i what?" hinata says
"be my boyfriend." sakusa says, confidence finally making way into his voice
"i-" hinata mutters out before being cut off
"look, you really don't have to if you don't want to, i don't want us to be awkward after this if you say no..i mean- if you don't want to stay friends that's fine but-" sakusa quickly says
