Reason for republishing this story: I published on Dec 2021, which means the only available deadline for the Wattys would be 2023. I can't afford that because the main story I'm writing for the 2023 Wattys is another one and I need to focus on that one. I would never complete this one and the other both in time for the next Wattys. So if I republish Undesired Spotlight I could enter it on 2024.
I get it, it may seem like just a fanfic, but I don't consider it as so. A chuisle mo chroi was a guilty pleasure fanfic, like I've said many times, with not much plot and a lot of fluff. But this I consider historical fiction/alternate history and more serious. It actually has a plot and a direction. So in my opinion, it could be worthy of the Wattys contest.
So please, if you can vote and/or comment again it would help a lot! I need this to eventually catch up to the old version of the story so I can delete that one. Sorry for the inconvenience 🥺
Question: Do you think first person narration would fit this story better?
