She walked through the portal, closed it, then took a deep breath. "I forgot what the air was like here in Manhattan," she chuckled, blowing her brown hair out of her face. Her wings were spread out as she rode the dark horse to the tree on the hill. The husky seemed to like following her.
"I told you to stay with him, remember?" she sighed, staring at the husky for a moment. Soon enough, they reached the bottom of Half-Blood Hill.

"She's here!" Piper said, looking up from the demigod map that showed a blinking green and orange light. The entire camp turned to see a mysterious cloaked figure, on a horse, with a husky nearby. The most peculiar thing about her was her... golden wings?
As the woman got off the ebony horse and walked towards Piper, she quickly called for the husky to come to her. Piper seemed to know her, for she smiled when the winged woman reached her.
"Drista, you're back!" She hugged the woman.
"Yeah, yeah, I am," Drista uncovered her hood, and hid her wings. Many of the new demigods were in fact, surprised by the unexpected visitor, but the conch horn sounded for dinner. All of the campers, including Drista and Piper, walked to the mess hall.
As they walked, the two caught up with each other.
"So, Dris, how are you?" Piper asked.
"I'm good, actually. So, how are you?" Drista started to fidget with her fox necklace.
"Who's the fox necklace from?" she asked, startling Drista for a moment.
"Oh, I made it, actually," she answered. "It's a little reminder for me of Fundy. I don't think I've told you about him yet."
Once all of the campers reached the mess hall, Chiron called them to attention.
"Welcome back, daughter of XD, head counselor of cabin #21," he announced. They were mainly surprised by the change in her physical appearance.
"What happened to your hair?" Will wondered.
When Drista realized that they were asking questions, she started to answer Will's. "Well, it just somehow turned brown when I went back home, then I just cut it shorter after. The white streak was because I was... w-was..." She held her grip tightly on her necklaces until her knuckles turned white.
"Hey, Drista, you don't have to explain it right away," Piper said, softly, using a small amount of charmspeak to calm her down. Drista knew Piper was using it, and she gave in. It wasn't a good topic to talk about, anyway.
They stayed silent for a while, until Kayla asked, "What's the story behind the two necklaces you were holding on to?"
It was still a bit harsh of a topic, but one she would be willing to share. "The trident necklace," she answered, taking it off, which turned into a trident, amazing the campers. "This was given to me by Bianca, my... ex-girlfriend."
Nico, who was next to Will, started, "You don't mean—?"
Drista sighed, "Yes. She gave it to me. It was the same thing as Percy did with you except... she gave me a note. She wanted me to take care of you, to watch over you, Nico..." She rubbed her thumb over it, trying not to cry. She did move on from her deceased lover's death, but the pain was still there.
She moved on to the fox necklace. "This one, I made it myself. It's so I can remember my boyfriend, Fundy. You might not meet him yet, though. He's a fox. The horse and the husky in the stables? The ones that I came with? Those are his," she smiled, remembering her favorite fox. "I hope he didn't mind me taking two of his animals from his cabin, though."
She did plan on showing Fundy her other world, and telling the campers the story behind her white streak. She just needed time, was all.

"Where's Dris, Dad?" Karl asked XD. "She isn't on the server map, or even in any server at all!"
DristaXD, who was sitting on her pillar and listening to Karl, drinking wine, got up and answered, "Karl, dear, she's in a different world entirely! I'd tell you, but I must keep her secret. I'm the only one who truly knows. AP doesn't know either, I believe. Your father knows that she left, for sure. Oh, and XD's with his mortal... no, human 'lover.' I'll never understand that."
DristaXD went back to her pillar, watching over the server for XD.
————————————————————————
Fundy woke up, but Drista wasn't next to him. "Dris?" He called. No answer. His ears went down. He called again, "Drista?" Again, no answer. He walked to the kitchen and found a note.
It read, "I need to leave the server for a while. I have some... important things to work out. Nothing's wrong between us, okay? Bye, my fox,
Love, Drista ❤️"
Fundy sat with the rest of the huskies on the cabin floor and started crying. He missed Drista. He missed her, so, so much. Her family was very overprotective of her and he was scared of them. They could kill him, anyway. Drista's dad was a god, one of her brothers has killed him before, and the other was a demigod, like Drista.
He mainly hoped that, wherever she was, she was safe.
