Start from the beginning

They had called the hospital
in the morning already but they
were told that as long as the
ravenette's water hadn't broken
or his contractions were less
than 15 minutes apart, he
could still stay at home.

"Then let's hope the water
will speed things up while
also easing the pain, darling.
Come on, let me help you up"

Felix tried to cheer them up a bit
as he took his boyfriend's hands
and pulled the older male up.

It broke his heart to see how
exhausted Chan looked,
his black curly bangs were
sticking to his sweaty forehead
and his legs were trembling
slightly in tiredness as he
waddled behind his boyfriend
to the bathroom.

Once they reached the said room,
the ravenette tried to bend down
to take his pants off but he gave
up midway when his back
screamed in protest.

"I'll help you if that's okay for you?"

Chan nodded as he groaned
and closed his eyes, his hands
going back to the underside
of his round belly.

So Felix helped his boyfriend
out of his pants and into the
tub before he placed a long kiss
on the older's damp forehead.

"Do you want me to stay or should
I go prepare something to eat?"

"P-please stay.."

"Okay baby, I'll stay right here"

The pink-haired boy reached his
hand out to run his fingers through
Chan's black sweaty hair, the frown
on his face growing when his boy
started to whine again at the
contraction building up.

"I'm so proud of you, you know?
You're doing so good, baby.
And in a few hours you can
finally take a rest, together
with the bub."

But even though the ravenette
appreciated the compliments,
he was too busy fighting the
contraction and only grabbed
his boyfriend's hand to
squeeze it tightly.

Chan was actually not that
sensitive when it came to pain
but the contractions now were
slowly reaching his pain
tolerance limit.

He was glad he didn't have to
do this alone, with Felix by his
side it was still far more bearable.

All those months before he had
started going out with the freckled
boy he had feared the day he'd
have to give birth.

Because in those hours of pure
pain and exhaustion the loneliness
would have felt the worst.

It'd have felt too real,
that he was alone with a little baby.

But it wasn't like this,
Felix was by his side all the time.

He was there, held his hand
and told him that he was doing
so well even if Chan wasn't
sure about that.

He had been in labor
for almost twenty hours,
why hadn't his water broken yet?

Why was everything taking so long?
