"Aidan's Zia?"

Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko kay Trevor. I stepped back and looked at them in disbelief.

"Yes po," matamis na nakangiting sagot ni Noemi sa akin.

"I am so confused," I looked at Trevor. Waiting for him to answer, nakangiti ito sa akin as if reassuring me that it's no big deal.

"Aidan knows and he's okay with it. You know, Aidan, he already forgave Zia for what happened. Noemi disclosed that she's friends with Zia when I hired her as my secretary," pagpapaliwanag ni Trevor sa akin.

Everything slowly sunk in. "Oh my god, where are my manners," sita ko sa sarili ko. "Hi! You look so pretty," I excitedly said when I came up to her for a hug. She looked a lot different from the last time I saw her, granted that it was almost ten years ago. She transitioned kaya she looked like a model.

"Hello, ang ganda ganda mo pa din," she hugged me tightly.

"How are you? How's Zia?" I asked her when we pulled away from each other. Trevor pulled my chair and added another chair for Noemi.

"She's doing good. Kasama niya na buong pamilya niya sa ibang bansa kaya sobrang saya niya," sagot nito as she sat on the chair. Halatang masaya siya para sa kaibigan niya.

Napabuntong hininga ako at napangiti. "I'm happy for her, tell her I said sorry ha," I sincerely said. The waiter came to pour wines in our glasses.

Before Aidan and Aeone dated, hinanap ni Aidan si Zia kasi gusto niyang humingi ng tawad. Noong nasa Berlin din ako, nakapag-usap kami ni Aidan tungkol sa nangyari. Masakit sa kanya, ang laki na rin kasi ng trust issues ni Aidan after what our dad did. He questioned the genuineness of everything that Zia did for him. I honestly don't know what made him feel sorry for what he did kay Zia. Late ko na nga din nalaman yung pagsakal niya at yung pagluhod ni Zia habang humihingi ng tawad sa kanya. Sobrang naawa ako kay Zia nang malaman ko 'yon.

"Matagal na kayong napatawad ni Zia," she said in the most comforting tone, hinawakan pa nito ang kamay ko na nasa mesa. "Noon pa man, she never held a grudge against you, Aidan, and your family."

"Kwento nga ni Noemi may gwapong foreigner na boyfriend na si Zia eh," sabat ni Trevor, ang laki pa ng ngiti niya.

It made me chuckle and it made me so happy for Zee. "I hope he treats her well," I sincerely said. "Pinagpatuloy niya ba ang pagdodoctor?" I added. I remember that medical topics was what bonded us. Pareho kaming medical students when Aidan and Zia were still dating kaya topic namin palagi ay Physiology and Anatomy. It would drive Aidan insane!

"Yes, malapit na siyang maging resident doctor sa Ireland," she sounded so excited.

Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko at napangiti kay Noemi. Mabuti naman. Nakaramdam ako ng pagka proud para sa kanya.

"Heto ding isa," Trevor all of a sudden said. He leaned on my chair and put his arm on my waist. Presenting me to Noemi like a proud parent. "Malapit na din maging resident doctor sa Philippine Hospital," he proudly said while gently rubbing my back.

"Matagal pa," I laughed and playfully pushed his face away. Tumawa din ito at hinalikan ang kamay ko na nasa mukha niya. He held my hand and placed it on his thigh.

"Anyway, let's talk about business muna," Trevor said as he looked at Noemi.

"Yes, heto po ang reports, sir. The permits and documents are here, too. Nandito din ang floorplan, estimated budget ng hotel for our blocks," pagpapaliwanag ni Noemi then she handed Trevor the thick documents. Naging seryoso na sila, nakikinig lang ako. Interesado kasi ako sa calamity proof blocks nila Trevor.
