"Nadia, hija, you're finally here!" masayang bungad ni tita Leigha sa akin nang makita niya ako sa entrance.

I immediately composed myself and smiled at her. "Hi, tita. These are my friends po. Doctor Maxine and Doctor Archie," I introduced them to each other. "Guys, my tita, y'all know her already."

"Hello po," Archie and Maxine said in unison. Lumapit din naman agad sila kay tita para bumeso rito.

"Hello, it's nice to finally meet you two," tita gracefully said to them. She then shifted her attention to me. "Can I borrow you for a minute so I can introduce you to some of my friends and your dad's friends?"

"Sure po," I answered kahit ayoko. Ayoko dahil gutom na ako and ayoko dahil hindi ko bet makipagplastikan sa mga friends ng family ko.

Tita did introduce me to our family's friends. Puro mga bourgeois. But while I was talking to the people that tita Leigha wants me to talk to, I could feel that heavy feeling that someone is looking at me. I tried so hard not to look in his direction, natatakot pa ako.

I was about to open my mouth to speak, but tita spoke again. "Hi Clyde! Hi Maria!"

"Oh my Leigha! It's nice to see you again!"

Natuod nalamang ako sa kinatatayuan ko nang lapitan ni tita sina tito Clyde at tita Maria. I bit the insides of my cheek as I turned my gaze to Trevor na nakatayo sa likod ng mom niya.

I heaved a heavy sigh and shifted my gaze to his parents. Matamis akong ngumiti sa kanila at agad na lumapit para yakapin sila.

"Ang laki laki na ng pinagbago mo hija!" masayang sabi ng parents ni Trevor sa akin. "You're still very pretty," his mom caressed my cheek.

"Thank you po, kayo din po ang ganda ganda niyo pa din po," I politely answered. Binalingan ko ng tingin si tito Clyde, "hello po, tito." Niyakap ko pa ito.

I swallowed the lump in my throat nang umusog si tita para makalapit si Trevor sa akin.
