CHAPTER 18: The future that's to come

' Papa... '

' Master don't worry! I am sure that rude old man Reynolds and nice lady Alice will be fine after some time!'

' What are you acting all depressed for princess? You know for sure that you and that lucky bastard Reynolds will reconcile soon! And I am sure that my beautiful milf goddess will forgive you soon as well'

' Thanks, everyone... and Regis, don't call my mom that, EVER AGAIN !'

' Yes, yes...'

After getting encouraged by my daughter and partners I finally gained enough courage to begin the explanation

" Mom, Dad, do you believe in time travel?"

They both gave me a puzzled look, clearly not understanding where is that coming from

After that, I proceeded to explain to them how I actually am seventeen ( not accounting for my time as King Gray ) and how I regressed to the past

" That's..." my dad said still trying to comprehend what I just said

" Arthur" my mom said as she hugged me

" It must have been tough" She whispered gently

I hesitantly returned the hug, aware that this might be the last one in a while

After some time my mom let me go and we relocated to the tea table in the room

Knowing that I will be coming they already prepared one chair for me, so now we were sitting, both of them facing me

" Arthur, what is the future like?" Dad asked

I looked at him for a moment, trying to find the right words to start

At that moment, the picture of his dead body on the battlefield on the wall appeared in my head

Before I could make any expression that will make them worry even more, I cleared my mind and began talking

" There is a war between Dicathen and another continent, Alcarya"

They both looked at me blankly, unable to understand what I just said

And I can't blame them, not only did I reveal the existence of another continent, but I also revealed that there will be a war between them and Dicathen

" A-Arthur, w-what do you mean?" My mom asked

Just by listening to her voice, I could say that she is scared

But by looking at her face I was certain, she is terrified

" In about four to five years, the continent of Alcarya will declare a war to Dicathen, the war on the scale that Dicathen never saw before"

I said matter of factly

" The Dicathen will be led by the council which is consisted of the three royal families"

" The commandant will be former Elven king, Virion Eralith"

I made a pause to make sure that they are both listening

Even though he was silent all this time, dad was paying close attention to everything I say so far

And mom... she was listening, but she was also trembling

A war is coming, one that will force the Royal families that never got along to work together, and that's enough to make her aware of just how dangerous the enemy is
