Chapter 57

(Blake's POV)

I watched as (Y/N) cried, holding onto his family like his life depended on it. I smiled, happy to see him back with his parents. (Y/N) wiped his tears and stopped hugging his parents.

(Y/N): Ok... I think it's all out of my system.

He noticed everyone staring at him. His cheeks went a shade of pink and he rubbed the back of his head, laughing nervously.

(Y/N): Hope I didn't weird anyone out there.

I walked over to (Y/N) and hugged him. He hugged me back.

Blake: You didn't weird me out, but I don't speak for everyone.

I looked over and saw Salem staring at me.

Salem: Who are you supposed to be?

Ozpin: That's (Y/N)'s girlfriend.

Salem: Oh, I see. Please do take care of my son.

Blake: I'll be sure to do just that.

(Y/N): Come on, I can take care of myself.

Salem: I would beg to differ. When you were young, you couldn't scrap your knee without crying to me.

(Y/N): Sh-Shut it! That didn't happen! Did it?

Ozpin: Well... I can't say it's not true.

(Y/N) stopped hugging me, his face almost being as red as a tomato. Everyone started to laugh. I heard someone groan. I looked up and Tyrian started to wake up.

Tyrian: Ugh, what happened-

Hazel walked up behind him and slammed his head down on the ground, knocking him out again. Hazel picked Tyrian up and started to carry him on his shoulder.

Hazel: Salem. Where should I take him?

Salem: Please, I am not the woman you swore allegiance to. You do not have to ask me what to do anymore.

Hazel: Right. I'll take him somewhere so he won't be causing anymore trouble.

Hazel started to walk away.

(Y/N): Hey Hazel.

Hazel stopped and looked back, looking at (Y/N).

Hazel: Yes?

(Y/N): If you don't mind me asking... Where is Cinder?

Hazel: Cinder... I believe she went over to Atlas.

Hazel walked away, leaving to take Tyrian somewhere.

Salem: Son, why do you wish to know where Cinder is?

(Y/N): I want to avenge someone.

(Y/N) was about to walk away, but Salem put her hand on his shoulder.

Salem: That isn't necessary.

(Y/N): But I swore to avenge Amber-

Ozpin: You've already avenged her. You, I mean we, defeated the woman who killed her. It was Salem's Grimm that was the cause for her death.

(Y/N) looked down at the ground.

(Y/N): I guess you are right... Hey wait a minute. Where did Neo go?

Yang: Gotcha!

We looked over and saw Yang holding Neo in a headlock. I noticed Neo holding the Relic of Knowledge.

Yang: Found her trying to sneak off! Good thing your attack shattered an illusion she had up.

(Y/N) closed his eyes. When he opened them back up, he took a step back in surprise.

Blake: (Y/N)? Is everything ok?

(Y/N) smiled to himself as he looked over at me.

(Y/N): Yeah, I'm fine. Those who died thanks to the Grimm Salem can finally rest.

I saw Jaune take the Relic from Neo and walked over to Salem and Ozpin.

Jaune: I do believe this belongs to you two now.

Salem grabbed the Relic from Jaune.

Salem: Thank you for this.

Salem looked over at Ozpin.

Salem: I think it is best if we complete your task now.

Blake: You mean gather the four Relics together and summon the Gods?

Ozpin: Yes, I suppose now is the time to finally finish it.

Salem and Ozpin started to walk away. (Y/N) stars yes to follow them.

Blake: (Y/N)!

He stopped and looked back at me.

(Y/N): Hmm? What is it?

Blake: Let me come with you.

Salem and Ozpin stopped when I said that, making them look back at me too.

Ozpin: Are you sure?

Salem: You would be leaving your friends behind. You won't be able to see them for a very long time.

I looked over at Yang, Jaune, and Ren. They nodded their heads at me. I smiled and looked back at (Y/N).

Blake: After everything me and (Y/N) have been through, I don't ever want to leave his side again.

(Y/N): Then what are you waiting for?! Let's get going!

(Y/N) picked me up and started to run.

Salem: Wait! You don't know where to go!

(Y/N) grew some wings and started to fly into the air. I can feel the wind blowing through my hair as the sun shined brightly.

Blake: Hey (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Yes Blake?

Blake: What did you see earlier that made you so surprised?

(Y/N): Hehe, that's something for me to know.

Now that just makes me want to know more than ever.

Blake: You better tell me!

(Y/N): Have you ever heard the saying "Curiosity killed the cat"?

Blake: This "cat's" curiosity is going to get you killed!

(Y/N): Oh, feisty. Are you going to hiss at me next?

Blake: Says the one that actually barks.

(Y/N) bit his tongue and looked forward.

(Y/N): I don't want this conversation to continue any further.

I giggled and placed a kiss on his cheek.

Blake: I love you.

(Y/N): ...I love you more.
