Unexpected Inheritance [REWRITE]

Chapter Four: The Twins

Once they had gotten into Gringotts, Harry was able to get a meeting with Griphook again pretty quickly once he had said he had Fred and George with him. Griphook had looked a bit skeptical that Harry had managed to drag the two with him, that was until he had seen the twins himself.

"How much do they know?" Griphook asked.

"Nothing yet, I wasn't about to talk about anything while we had been out in public." Harry answered.

Fred and George looked between each other completely confused, unsure of what was going on as they were dragged further into Gringotts and into one of the private meeting rooms. In the room there were already some papers sitting on the table and Griphook motioned for the two to take a read.

"Those are your birth certificates as they have been filed, I want you to read them and tell me if you see anything wrong with them. After that do you agree to taking inheritance and potions tests?" Griphook asked as the two older boys picked up their respective birth certificates.

"Ah- Can we ask why?" Fred asked looking up from his birth certificate. Griphook looked at Harry questioningly, Harry simply nodded.

"Because Lord-" Griphook started before getting a glare from Harry. "Because Harry's tests turned out to be completely different from what had been filed and you two we believe have also had your files meddled with." Griphook stated.

Both Fred and George's eyes went wide, their eyes flying to Harry in horror. Their minds flying on the possibilities that would encompass having their birth certificates being meddled with. Their eyes went back to the certificates in their hand, having thought they were correct.

"Can- can we see Harry's before we decide anything?" George asks slowly.

"I don't see why not-" Harry says, knowing what they would see.

Griphook snapped his fingers and Harry's certificate landed on the table, he motioned again for the twins to take a look. Harry stood nervously, shifting from foot to foot as the twins read through Harry's birth certificate. He knew the moment the twins had seen who Harry's siblings were listed as by the way their eyes had widened and had snapped up from the paper to Harry.

"That's- that's how we know the birth certificates that were filed for you must have also been faked..." Harry said softly, not looking up at the twins.

Harry was quickly engulfed into a hug by the two older boys. He couldn't hold in his emotions any longer and a sob escaped him as he let the tears fall and leaned into his older brothers. Both of the older boys gripped onto Harry tightly, having read what had been picked up on Harry's potions and spell wise.

"Harry- Fuck I'm sorry we never noticed." Fred manages to say.

"Its- Its okay- we had all of their influence removed." Harry stuttered,

"No, it's not okay, you should have never had that happen to you." George growled.

"We can't change the past, we can only move forward. Would you boys like for an inheritance test to be taken? We are trying to build a case file against Dumbledore, and while we know you have been tampered with, having the proof will go that extra mile." Griphook explained.

"We'll do it." The boys said in unison, a sort of determination in their eyes.

Griphook nodded and left the room to go and get the equipment needed leaving the three brothers to themselves.

"Do you think Charlie knows?" Harry asks softly.

"It's definitely possible." Fred starts

"After he left for Romania he did cut almost all contact with the family." George hums.
