I had stayed in Aitana's arms for hours before I knew I had to leave. That had been the last time we spoke and now 4 months later I was still as hurt. Despite knowing the answer I had asked my agent the next day about a possible move to Spain but as I guessed it wasn't possible. I watched as many Barcelona games as I could, I could see Aitana from a distance, i could see she was happy and that's all I truely wanted.
I had kept a book since that day. Every day I wrote down what I wanted to say to Aitana and if the day ever came, I would give her the book. Some days I wrote more than others. It became easier with time and I started to understand how I felt.
I had a meeting with my agent. Bayern were offering a new contract and I had to meet with him to discuss it. I got to his office with two coffees in hand, and knocked on the door.
"Come in" a voice came from behind the door, I used my arm to open the door while balancing the coffees
"You are my lifesaver" joe, my agent said as he took one of the coffees
"Only for my favourite agent" i laughed taking a seat at his desk
"Well I'm glad you said that. I might just have a dream offer for you"
"What is it?"
"Let's discuss Bayern first" He pulled out a stack of papers from his drawer "they are offering a 10% wage increase and 2 years. A bonus if you reach 15 assists this season and a bonus if you reach the champions league final" joe showed me the papers
"Decent offer" i nodded but was interested in the 'dream offer' he had for me
"There has been an interest from a few teams but only one formal offer" he pulled out another pile of papers "Barcelona" he stated. I stared at him shocked. I couldn't believe it
"Your joking? I thought they weren't interested?" I exclaimed
"They weren't, but they liked how you played recently and apparently a couple of months ago someone put in a good word"
Aitana I thought. She must have spoken to them after all. This was my chance. This was our chance.
"I want to go to Barcelona. I don't care about money" I stated
"We'll it's not as simple as that. Bayern have to agree and they aren't promising much game time" joe said reading over the papers
"I'll prove I deserve to start. Hopefully Bayern let me go"
"Alright then, your mind seems made up. I contact Barcelona and Bayern and let them know"
"Thanks Joe, you really are the best" i smiled
"Don't call me that yet. I'll get back to you once I've spoke to everyone"
"Thanks again" i said the smile permanently etched on my face as I walked out.
A few weeks later and it was decided. Bayern we're reluctant to let me go but agreed in the end. I still had to finish the season and officially sign the contract but I couldn't care less. I was finally going home. I wasn't aloud to tell anyone so I hadn't spoken to Aitana but hopefully when I returned she was still willing to try.
After packing my suitcases and saying final goodbyes I was on the plane to my new home. I had found an apartment not too far from the training center and had already sent most of my stuff over. Many emotions were swirling through my head but I didn't care. The excitement of getting to play for such an amazing club outweighed everything. I managed to sleep a little this time, despite the excitement.
Joe picked me up from the airport and took me straight to the training centre. I was signing the contract and then had to take photos in the new kit.
"I think the team will be around today so you can see your friends and new teammates" joe said as we arrived
"I can't wait" i said thinking of only one person. I signed all the paperwork and officially I was a Barcelona player. I went with the team photographer to get my photos and soon enough I was finished.
"The team should be in the gym" Jona told me pointing in the direction of a door
"Alright, thank you" i said not waiting any longer to be reunited with my friends.
I pushed open the door and all eyes fell on me
"No way!" Patri screamed running over nearly knocking me over and soon enough everyone else came over

"Go" Alexia gave me a light shove in her direction
I walked over and she still hadn't noticed. As I approached her she glanced up, her jaw dropping
"I can't believe your here" she said taking off her headphones
"Is that a good or a bad thing?" I joked nervously
"The best thing" and with that she jumped on me wrapping her legs round my waist
"I'm so glad your here" she whispered, her breath tickling my ear
"Well someone put in a good word" i laughed squeezing her tight. Eventually she got down and just stared at me
"What?" I asked confused
"I'm all in" she replied "these past few months made me realise your worth it. I want to see where this can go" she gestured between the both of us
"I'm so glad" I wrapped my arms round her neck and placed a gently kiss below her ear "it was only ever going to be you"
