"How are you and Patri?" Leila wiggled her eyebrows as we walked out onto the pitch
"For the last time, we're just friends" i sighed
"Come on, we all know you like each other. Neither of you seem to realise though"
"Who's we?" I asked worriedly
"The whole team" Leila replied and i sighed once again. We were now in the middle of the pitch waiting for training to start. I could see the rest of the team walking towards us
"Can we not talk about this" i turned back to Leila
"Whatever, but when you realise I'm right your taking me out to dinner"
I got back to the locker room after training and sat down alone, enjoying the silence.
"Are you okay? You seem tired today" Patri sat next to me and placed a hand on my arm
"Yeah, fine" i replied, Leilas words replaying in my head
"Are you sure? Can I do anything?" Patri asked again turning to face me
"No I'm good, I just need sleep" I lay my head on her shoulder and closed my eyes
"Then sleep" Patri whispered kissing my head gently
Oblivious to us, our teammates were next door setting up a plan.
"Let's go out tonight" Mapi slung an arm round my shoulder as I was walking to my car.
"I'm not really in the mood sorry"
"Please? You never go out" Mapi begged
"Ugh, fine. Not for long though, I'm really tired" I gave in
"Yes, your the best" Mapi then ran off into another room but I was too tired to care. I put my stuff on the passenger seat and drove home. Mapi had texted me the details as I was driving home, she had picked a quite restaurant down town. I was glad it was nothing too fancy. I phoned a taxi so I wouldn't have to drive and began to get ready.
When I arrived, I texted Mapi to let her know i was there before getting some water for the table. I kept glancing at my phone waiting for a reply as a voice brought me out of my thought
"Hey! What are you doing here?" Patri had a bright smile on her face
"Mapi asked me to go out because according to her 'I never go out'" I sent her a soft smile
"What? Mapi asked you here? Leila asked me here as well. I guess we could just sit together" Patri pulled over a chair right next to mine
"If they ever show up" i mumbled
"Huh?"
"Nothing, let's just order, they should be here soon" I sipped my water noticing just how close Patri was sitting to me, our legs brushing ever so slightly but neither of us moving.
"Leila said she's not coming" Patri put her phone down and we locked eyes making me forget everything she has just said, they sparkled under the restaurant lights
"Patri-" my breath got caught as she placed her hand on my thigh
"I'm sorry Mapi and Leila did this, let me take you home"
"We haven't even ordered" i frowned
"I know, you said you were tired earlier so I'll take you home and we can order some food and watch a film"
"I- Uh. Okay, thanks" I stuttered, goosebump arising where she had her hand.
"Pizza or sushi?" Patri asked poking her head round the door. She insisted I got into bed and she would order food.
"Sushi, definitely" i smiled at the girl infront of me
"Coming right up, love" my heart skipped a few beats.
Soon enough the food arrived and me and Patri snuggled up into the blankets enjoying the warmth.
"I think Leila and Mapi did this on purpose" i stated
"What are you talking about?" Patri inched closer putting the leftover food on the table next to my bed
"Leila thinks we have something going on between us" i sighed leaning back
"Hmm, Leila is always saying that" patri replied
"What? You never told me that" I snapped open my eyes staring at her
"I didn't see the point" she shrugged "she's not lying"
I stared at her, she had a slight smirk on her face
"I can't tell if your joking or not"
"I'm not" she grabbed my hand under the blanket "there's always been something between us"
"I- i don't know what to say" I looked away trying to cover the blush that has formed on my cheeks
"Don't say anything" patri hooked her finger under my chin and made me look at her before crashing our lips together. I tensed up at first before relaxing into her lips, my hands found her neck and soon enough I was straddling her lap. She had a firm grip on my waist. When we eventually pulled away I couldn't keep the grin off my face
"That was amazing" i smiled
"Yeah, not bad" patri joked causing me to push her playfully.
"Ugh" i groaned
"What? What's wrong?" Patri said concerned
"I have to buy Leila dinner now"
"She can wait, come her" patri pulled me in again reconnecting out lips.
