Chapter Thirty Two

"But..."

Hindi ako ang tipo na may sakit o may major headache at mapapahinga agad, I don't like that.

I love doing something especially if I feel like I had such a long, sweet sleep last night. I'm kind of motivated to write for my novel, I'm also motivated to read my emails.

"Don't, Rina. I'm not gonna let you do this."

"What?"

"Last time that you got sick, you studied for the exams and did your assignments and passed out the day after the exam."

"At least I passed, 'di ba?"

"And last time you woke up with a headache dahil sa inuman niyong dalawa ni Ryland at Silas, sinubukan mong magexercise pero agad kang umuwi kasi gusto mong sumuka."

"Well... I tried to release the pain with exercise, I tried!"

Talagang naalala niya pa y'an?

Okay na, ikaw na ang best friend ko sige, Alexander.

I rolled my eyes at him and he just laughed as he wiped the water at the corner of my lips with a tissue.

But he's right.

Those things did happened at kahit na may gusto akong gawin today, kailangan ko talagang magpahinga, feeling ko rin ayokong tumayo o maglakad.

"Just rest, okay?"

"Alright, wala ka bang trabaho today?"

"Oh, don't worry..." he smirks.

I know that smirk. Yan yung pangmayaman na para bang ako ang may-ari at magtatrabaho ako kung gusto kong magtrabaho, yung ganyang ngiti, tsk.

"Just because you're the owner doesn't mean you won't go to work, go!"

"But before I was an owner, I was your best friend... and I still am."

Heto nanaman tayo, he's using the best friend card, tangina naman! 'Di niya ba naiintindihan na boss ko na siya at hindi na dapat siya ganito umakto sa'kin na matalik kaming magkaibigan?

Why is he so caring?

Why is he so nice?

Why is he like this?

"Fine."

Bumalik ang ngiti sa labi ko pagkatapos sa sinabi niya. Alam naman din niyang papagalitan ko siya kapag 'di niya ginawa ang dapat niyang ginagawa.

"I'll do my job, Rina."

"Great job, Alexander Seth Cardoza!"

"But... not until you rest and sleep right now."

"Alexander naman!"

Ang dami niyang dama!

He should be working his ass off right now and not be here with his best friend, baliw ba siya? Ilang beses niya na 'kong nakitang ganito so he should be used by it by now, pero wala eh... wala talaga.

Iba na rin ang sitwasyon namin dahil boss ko na siya at modelo niya 'ko. Ang sama pa ng titig ko sa kanya habang tinutulungan niya 'kong maglakad papunta sa loob ng sarili kong kwarto.

Dahan-dahan naman akong umupo at tsaka humiga sa higaan.

Wow, just wow.

I missed this bed. Ang lamig, ang lambot, ang sarap lang na higaan. I've slept here many times but I've never felt like this before, dahil ba ang sama ng pakiramdam ko?
