Kaneki soon told me the details of Rize's death.
I apologized that he had to become a ghoul.
"It's fine." He replied. "I've adapted."
I smiled. "hey, Kaneki... Why do you work here?" I asked.
"Well, at Anteiku, we feed and protect ghouls who can't do it themselves. I was one of those when I realized I was a ghoul. Anteiku took me in under a small fee. I had to work here." He explained.
I nodded. "So you're like protection?" I asked.
"Yeah." He smiled.
"Anteiku sounds nice." I commented.
"You could always stay. I'm sure the manager would like the Golden Ghoul on our side." He chuckled.
"Are all of your staff ghouls?" I asked.
He nodded. "So do you want to stay at Anteiku?" He asked.
"I'll talk to your manager about it." I told him.
"You might or might not see me tomorrow, Kaneki." I said after he told me where the manager was.
"I'll be awaiting." He said before I closed the door. I walked towards a old man that appeared to be the manager. "Oi, are you the manager?" I asked.
He turned around. "Yes, how may I assist you?" He asked.
"May we talk in a separate room?" I requested.
He nodded and we walked into a different room.
"So, I am aware that your staff and you are ghouls." I begin.
"Do you now?" He asks.
"Yes. I would like to show you something. Maybe I could join Anteiku with it." I tell him.
"Alright, show me." He says.
I smile and cover my eyes with one hand.
When I release my hand, it showed my golden eye.
"Tadaa!" I cheer.
His eyes went wide. "The Golden Ghoul." He nods. "You start tomorrow." He said.
