It's been about... 3 months at school?
So... here are some updates on why I haven't been tellin' ya about whats happening.
1. barely anything has been happening.
2. the only interesting thing is that Lucas has ignored me since the day we officially met.
3. Maya keeps getting in trouble by Mr.Matthews (aka, Dad) and Farkle just joins the smart clubs.

So... basically everything is normal.

I mean, I guess.
Normal for high school life right? Right.

I guess.

-

"Hello, schoolers!"
The announcements are louder then usual, louder then usual afternoon after-school announcements.
Something exciting is gonna happen?
"So, as you sophmores, juniors, and seniors know..."

The entire school shut up.

"The school masquerade is coming up! Eeeeeee!"

Cheers and roars.

"This is the most favorite event of the entire school, freshmen, so I hope you join! But..."

Silence once again.

"I also hope you have a date!
See ya later!"

Maya turned to face me, giddy smile on her face.

"What?" I asked her. I'm confused- ohhhhhhhh.

"Rileeeyyyy," Maya singed, bumping me with her shoulder. "You wanna bring your uncle to be my date?"

I fake gagged at the sight of her being with my uncle Josh. Maya loves him because he's "hot?"
Well, I don't think he's hot.
My classmates do.
I guess its just hard for me since he's my uncle, but only about 3 years older.
Yeah, he's THAT young.

"Maya," I said sternly. "No."

She pouted. "Please Ril-"
"No."

She hit me with her hand. "You are rude."

As we walked out of the classroom, she won me over on going to the dance with Farkle as buddy-buddy.
Maya only agreed 'cause Farkle bribed my uncle Josh with $100.
Well, in honesty, I would've been bribed too.

Wow, seriously?
Guess who I see at the lockers?
Lucas Friar.

Maya sees him too.
"C'mon, Riles, he isn't worth our time. Let's go to your place, I need some pizza."

I laughed as I tagged alongside her.
Sooo... pizza anyone?

-

"Maya, I don't WANT that dress!" I complained as Maya searched the web for various dresses for the masquerade.
The dance is a formal event. I mean, wow. "It's too short!"

Maya smiled mischeviously. "Exactly, so you'll get a date. See? It shows your curves-"

I hit her in the face with a pillow. "No."

She laughed. "Fine, you wuss."

Someone knocked on my window.
I opened it to see Farkle.
"Ladies."

"Farkle." Maya and I say in unison.

"Have you heard about Friar? I heard he turned down tons of hot girls!"

Maya gasped jokingly. "'Hot,' Farkle?"

He chuckled nervously. "Whatever."

I rolled my eyes. "I knew he was a player."

Farkle laughed at my words as he left to get some smoothies for all of us.

"Now..." Maya continued, "The dance is in 10 days [ It's Tuesday for them ], and I already ordered myself a dress, your money of course..."
I rolled my eyes.
"Now... next dress!"

She pulled me back onto my bed to check the laptop.

"Really, a lace?"
