They've landed on the Big Apple days ago safely. It was exhausting and they're still jetlagged, but they've adjusted nicely. They're just done shopping at Target where Jill used the self-checkout and their Mama took a video of her doing such mundane task. Leni loves capturing moments she could look back on.

One of the things Jillian loves about New York is how it has walkable public parks. On days she needs to decompress from the pressures of hell week and her part-time job, she walks around Washington Square Park and people watch with her airpods on. A sudden random thought pops in her head, "Y/N would definitely enjoy walking around NYC."

They're going to eat lunch on a restaurant Aika researched about. On Jillian's first bite of the tasty food, her brows shoot up and thinks again, "Ay, feel ko magugustuhan 'to ni Y/N." She jots down the name of the dish so she wouldn't forget and continues eating.

When Jill leaves her family on the famous arch of Washington Park for the meantime to attend to some of her school activities, she almost run in on an outdoor photoshoot taking place there. Jill walks around to avoid them, and an image of you capturing photos there flashes through her mind, making her laugh a little. "Oh, Y/N would definitely have a field day kasi mahilig mag-picture-picture 'yun, parang si Mama."

Jill reroutes to get her caffeine fix from her usual cafe. Once she enters the place, she tilts her head in another thought. The overwhelming smell of coffee, the coziness of the place, and the pastry choices gave Jill a flashback. "Y/N would love this cafe."

This always happens ever since they step foot on New York, brief ideas of you plagues Jillian. She lists down the things she feels you'd love to experience. She's ruling out the possibility that these are all random when a pattern is clearly there. She's in love with you and that's enough reason why she keeps thinking about you. It's ridiculous, she thought that maybe your physical absence would at least damper her longing for you, but no. The saying "distance makes the heart grow fonder" is becoming true in Jill's case.

She enters the building where she works to meet with her boss. He said there's an important matter to personally discuss. Jill went on about her job like usual, a bittersweet feeling sits inside her chest for this will be her last day, and when she's done signing the papers, she plops down her comfy office chair. Thirty minutes before she has to clock out, her boss called her to his office.

Another person is there with them, wearing a professional business suit and all.

"Ah, there you are! Ms. Burns, this is the bright young woman I've been talking about." Her boss gleefully said.

Jill politely smiles and exhanged pleasantries with Ms. Burns as they firmly shake hands.

Once they settle on their seats, Ms. Burns speaks, "Congratulations on graduating, Ms. Robredo. I'm probably butchering your surname badly."

Jill chuckles because the white woman did, but respectfully dismisses it. She's used to people mispronouncing "Robredo".

"I'm going straight to the point. Our company is in need of bright young professionals who excel in their chosen field. I've seen your credentials and may I say, your boss doesn't need to recommend you because you're indeed brilliant."

Jill blushes at the flattering remark slightly. "Oh, thank you, Ma'am."

"I'm just saying that you'd definitely be swarmed with dozens of job offers right after graduation, but if you could consider working for us, we would love to have you." The lady says and hands over a sleek business card.

Jill grasps the card. A job prospect and she hasn't even formally graduated yet? It's Jill's lucky day! The company name written on the card is familiar to her, it's a Fortune 500 company. Jill contemplates passing a CV there once she starts looking for jobs, but here they are, already reaching out to her themselves.
