July 29, 2022

As per usual there was absolute chaos in our dressing room as we got ready to go on stage for the promotions of 'Paradoxx Invasion', not that it was new. What had made it more difficult for the day was the fact that my stylist was off work for a few days due to a family wedding down in Busan, she had to attend, leaving me with some stand in they had found. It wasn't that it was gonna be hard to style me, we were just to wear our Music Video outfits today, so it was already decided. All the stand in had to do was do my hair and makeup.

"I think this is your clothes Lin," the stand in commented as she rushed over to me with a few hangers of clothes, "I'm not sure, they looked quite big, even the pants. I could've sworn female idols used smaller clothes," she remarked as she looked at the clothes.

"It is mine... thank you," I hummed and clenched my jaw slightly as I tried to stay kind enough towards her.

As far as I could understand the stand in had been an intern at Starship Entertainment earlier in the year, and had been used to styling both taller and skinnier idols, which she apparently prefered (as far as she had hinted to me).

I quickly rushed through the dressing room and over towards a seperate part, to get changed. Passing by Jungwon in the process, but immediately getting stopped once he saw my face.

"What's up? Why you looking so sullen?" he questioned quietly in confusion and grabbed my elbow, "is something wrong with the stand in?"

"Not besides the fact that she keeps calling me big indirectly," I murmured and he glanced over to my makeup station, where the stand in stood, "she keeps saying how much she loved styling Ive because they were all taller and skinnier than me, and therefore easier to make look good on stage. I don't know what she expected... like I looked more like a skeleton off screen than I do off screen? And I tried so hard to lose all my weight again up to this comeback, and-"

"Woah, woah, woah," Jungwon quickly hushed as he softly grabbed both of my shoulders, "calm down, okay?" he smiled softly and rubbed my arms, "you're not big... you're not. We all know how hard you worked to lose your hiatus weight again, and you know we would've been supportive regardless of wether or not you wanted to lose the weight or not. So would Engenes."

"She keeps on body shaming me," I whispered and Jungwon just nodded quietly.

"Go out and change, I'll try and talk to her about it in a subtle way," he excused and patted my arms softly, letting me go out to get changed.

I rushed out in the small side room and got completely changed, taking an extra look at myself in the mirror as I tugged in my white t-shirt, eventually pulling myself together enough to go back out into makeup and just sit in silence as I put on my rings and let my stylist stand-in do my hair.

"I took some extra accessories with me today, maybe you should wear them," the stand in stylist spoke up and I hummed as I looked back up into the mirror, "I thought a nosering would look good with the outfit."

"Oh I used to have one," I spoke up with a small smile and she nodded at me.

"That's what I knew," she hummed and finished doing my hair, urging me to stand p and follow after her.

I rushed with her over to her bag as she pulled out a small box and looked through it before eventually holding up a nosering in front of me.

"Oh uhm... that is a real one," I pointed out and she just nodded.

"I know," she nodded, "we'll just put it in like a normal nosering."

"No no no, you can't do that. I haven't worn one in like two years," I shook my head and blinked at her in disbelief.

"No no, I learned in cosmetics school that nosepiercings never fully grow together, we'll just force it through," she excused and grabbed onto my chin to push the piercing through my old pierced nose.

"What the..." I trailed off as I moved out of her grip, "you're not going to force it into place," I pointed out to her, looking at her as if she was absolutely insane.

"What's going on?" Jay slowly questioned and glanced between the stylist and I.

"She wants to force a real nose piercing through the closed scar I have left," I defended and looked to Jay for help.

"She's just a bit overdramatic, it'll be fine," the stylist insisted and I looked at her in bewilderment.

"Alright, listen," Sunoo spoke up and wandered over to stand a bit in front of me, "you're not putting that nosering on her. You're either gonna go and do her makeup, as is your job, or my stylist is doing it because you're clearly not capable of sticking to your job."

"She's being overdramatic," the stylist defended and the soft smile Sunoo previously had on his face disappeared and he immediately became a lot mor threatening.

Even I knew nothing was scarier than a non-smiling Sunoo. I feared the day he would look at me without a smile. That would be the day I know that I will die.

"Go sit down, you're not doing anything else for the rest of the day and I'll make sure to talk to the company about whether or not you should be allowed to style any Hybe artist again," Sunoo sternly spoke in his usual deep voice and I took another step over behind him, only peeking out to look over at the stand in stylist, "is that understood."

"Ugh, she has too much freedom. Not only can she freely eat what she wants she can say no to stylist choices," the stand in rolled her eyes.

"Her freedom is good," Sunoo excused, "it's her life and a stand in stylist doesn't get to have a say in her diet or her stubbornness, now go sit down."

As the stylist went to sit down Sunoo abruptly turned to me, still not smiling but not looking at me. He guided me over to his stylist and asked her to do my makeup as he sat down in the chair beside me, just scrolling through her phone as one of his eyebrows stayed arched in frustration.

Quietly I reached over and patted his wrist softly, causing for him to look over at me with both of his eyebrows raised and not just one arched. I smiled slightly at him and his hand immediately went up to grab the hand I had patted him with.

"Thank you," I whispered and he grinned small smile at me.

"I didn't like the way she was talking about you," he murmured quietly before widening his eyes and going into his gossip mood, "like it was so annoying. Really. So annoying."

"You're scary when you don't smile," I commented as he slumped back in his chair and pouted slightly down at his phone.

"I know," he excused casually before excitedly showing me a picture of a small puppy, "isn't it cute?"

"Very," I nodded at him as his stylist lightly scolded me for continously moving around.

"We should get a puppy someday," Sunoo murmured and intertwined his fingers with mine while he continued to scroll through his phone, "or visit Hanbin hyung... his cats are very cute."

"Mhm," I hummed in agreement, not daring to move my lips or head as his stylist continued to fix my makeup.

"Yah, don't come near her again," Sunoo warned sternly over his shoulder and once I looked in the mirror in front of me I noticed the stylist stand in walking by with her water bottle in hand.

All the while she passed Sunoo kept looking at her with absolutely no smile on his face and just with daggers shooting from his eyes.

"It's fine," I assured Sunoo quietly and gave his hand a squeeze.

"Not according to me," Sunoo excused and squeezed my hand back.

As I glanced over at him I couldn't help but smile slightly, noticing how he was still looking down at his phone, completely pissed, but his grip around my hand was still as soft as it was before.
