CHAPTER 14: Family

After she was done changing she looked back, and after seeing me stare at her, her eyes widened in horror

Her face and even ears became crimson red. This time it was not steam coming out of her ears, these were whole fucking clouds

" Wha- I- I... Arty you pervert!!!" She shouted and started throwing pillows and shoes at me. I was able to avoid everything except for the "Note" mask that I didn't even see coming

She jumped into bed and hid under the pillow where she pouted for a while. Her face was directly pressed to the bed while a pillow was hiding the back of her head, most importantly her ears, so I couldn't see just how red they were

While Alea was throwing her little tantrum I got changed into my adventures gear. Just as I finished changing she got up and started talking

" Alright, because you saw me changing now you should change in front of me!" She declared proudly as if it is the most obvious thing in the world

I just looked at her blankly in my already changed clothes " Sorry, I already changed"

After my declaration, she looked really angry and down

Before we left our room she stopped me at the door and kissed me. I was surprised at first but soon came back to my senses and returned her kiss

" I won't be able to kiss you again once we leave this room, so I wanted one last kiss since we won't be able to see each other in two weeks" She sad a little sad, but also playful in the last part

I looked at her confused, what's happening in two weeks, did we have something planned?

" Two weeks?" I asked since I was curious

She blushed a little before she answered me " Well, I will get a couple of days off in two weeks, so I was wondering if you could come over to stay for that duration?"

I was now riding a carriage to the Helstea mansion with Jasmine sitting or rather laying on the other side and Sylvie sleeping in her fox form on my shoulder

After Alea and I made a promise to meet in Elenoir in two weeks we parted our ways and each headed to their respectful destination

She went back to the capital of Zestier while I went to pick Jasmine up and bring her to the Helstea mansion where we will spend the next two weeks

If necessary, Jasmine will stay for a little longer to recover so I may even go back to the Beast glades all by myself

This can prove to be beneficial since I could attack Alcaryans and train with Sylvie more frequently

I already have a plan for the next step of her training so we won't be losing any time on useless things

I looked at Jasmine and noted that her injuries are not as bad as they should have been thanks to Sylvie healing them

' That's just to be expected '

' Since when are you so cocky?' I asked her but was met with complete silence

Seems like she is avoiding answering. Sometimes she is just too much of a trouble, but even so, I can't help but love my adopted daughter

As I was thinking this we came to the Helstea mansion and it was time for me and Jasmine to leave the carriage

She was unusually silent and apparently in a bad mood. It's not like she is the most expressional person I know but this was unusual even for her

'I wonder if this has something to do with the talk she had with Kaspian?' I wondered as I was lending my shoulder to her
