The hybrid wasn't surprised at this. Makoto hated her guts, and that was final. "It probably was." Kagayaku said, laying back down on the bed to ease the immense amounts of pain she was in. But why did she show up in the house herself? Couldn't she have just made the curse kill her? She'll never figure out what's up with that deity. "Why does she want you dead again?" Mepuru asked, sitting on the bed next to her. "I annoyed her," the hybrid began, looking up at Mepuru with no expression on her face whatsoever, "because I called her a Goddess." The SandWing laughed at this. "Why get mad at that?" She said in between laughter.

"I think it's because she's trying to keep a low profile... If everyone knew she was in the forest, they'd probably try and harvest her power, and I don't blame her." She sighed. "If only I could talk to her..." Kagayaku trailed off, allowing Mepuru to speak. "You mean going back into the forest? No way. You'd get lost, also," she started, narrowing her eyes, "the queen of the SkyWings is sending a patrol there today. Plus, look at you! You're in a horrible state!"

Kagayaku scoffed at this. "Queen Hestia isn't going to stop me, and neither are my injuries." She growled, sitting up again and bringing her face extremely close to her friend's. "I'm going right now. Just try and stop me."

She awkwardly got off the bed and hobbled out of the door. Her friend groaned. "Kagayaku... Fine, I'm coming with you in case things go wrong." Mepuru got up and followed her hybrid friend as she walked out of the house.

So the two walked the way to the forest trail and went on it. It appeared to still be dark outside. How long was Kaga out for? A couple of minutes? Oh well, that didn't matter now. The only thing on the hybrid's mind was getting rid of this curse. "Makoto! Come out now!" Snarled Kagayaku, looking around the woodland that was surrounding the two friends. Nothing happened, the crickets were still chirping, and there was no sign of the deity. The two wandered around the forest for a while, calling Makoto's name and looking around for her.

When they reached the pond the teacher was rambling about on their walk that one day, fog began to show up, thickening by the second and causing the two to be separated. Them searching for each other only caused them to get even more lost. Kagayaku was raging. "Damn you stupid forest!" Hissed the hybrid, staring up at the cloudy sky with narrowed eyes. She stomped her uninjured foot in anger before progressing onwards, calling for Mepuru and Makoto as well as trying to find a way out. Walking without her friend's support was harder than she thought, and she had to occasionally stop to take a breather before continuing.

"Mepuru? Makoto?" The hybrid tried, looking around as her rage slowly melted into fear. Her ears drooped as she sat down and curled into a ball, her body trembling. I'm never going to find her again. She thought, beginning to cry and whimper as the cold breeze began to get the better of her. She collapsed fully onto the ground, her wounds beginning to hurt again, but she didn't care about that, she only cared about finding her best friend.

The fog began to clear a little, and some shapes appeared in the distance in front of her. But they weren't moving. No.

They were dead SkyWings, from Hestia's patrol.

Kagayaku screamed and got up. Makoto must've done this. She whirled around and began running away, desperate to get out of here. She did NOT want to be in a forest with a psycho deity that would happily murder the queen's workers. The pain from her wounds intensified as she continued sprinting, taking random directions that would most certainly bring her deeper into the forest. When she stopped, she had no clue where she was. The fog was much lighter now as she looked around. There were more deceased SkyWing bodies dangling from the trees, many had terrified or angry faces on them. Kagayaku speed walked past them and sat down on a bench that was nearby. Her injured body didn't need this stress.

"My, what a wonderful surprise!"

The hybrid felt sick to her stomach. Right next to her was Makoto, the deity that murdered these SkyWings. The deity that wants her head. Kagayaku quickly shuffled away from her and turned to face the deity, and her appearance was terrifying to the young dragonet. She was smirking at her, but what was worse was that she was covered head to tail in blood. SkyWing blood, to be precise. "Kagayaku! My favourite dragon in the whole world!" She chirped, sounding innocent, but the hybrid could hear that sinister undertone. Without thinking, Kaga began to snarl at her. "Back off." She snapped, inducing a laugh out of the deity. "Feisty now, are we?" She said, shuffling closer to the hybrid. The closer she got, the more Kagayaku could smell the patrol's blood on her, as well as the usual vanilla scent she bore.

"I thought I killed you back there, with the vase. I was worried!" She laughed, still speaking in an innocent, sweet tone. "But you're alive! What a miracle!"

"Why did you curse me? I didn't do anything wrong! I didn't tell a soul about you!" Kagayaku cried, still trying to get away from Makoto while sitting down despite being at the end of the bench. "We can't have nosey dragonets like you snooping into deity business now, can we?" The Goddess replied, laughing as she grabbed the hybrid's cheek, pulling her closer to her. She tightened her grip on Kaga's cheek, and the hybrid suddenly realised something. Makoto can kill with just one touch. I need to get her talons off me now or it'll be the end! She thought, panic seeping into her as she began thrashing around, trying to get Makoto to let go of her cheek, but to no avail.

The hybrid began to cry while trying to pry the deity's talons off of her, but they simply wouldn't come off. Makoto laughed at this. "You're so pathetic." Her tone was much more malevolent and malicious now. Right now, Makoto seemed much more bark than bite, maybe she'd spare her another day?

"It's about time I put you out of your misery."
