Ruth had been through so much this year. Sadness washed over her face, as she recollected bad memories that plagued her. She lost her friend Jennifer in a fatal car accident, she got fired from her job as a waitress at Red Lobster, and her husband cheated on her with another woman.
2022 was definitely no stranger to Ruth. She didn't want to deal with the stress and heartache, the year gave her. She was ready for 2023. But, October, November, and December would have to come first.
It would just be a matter of time, when 2022 would be put in the back burner.
