Callie: Hu-huh?
Marie: And I thought you were the early bird out of the two of us. Why are you sleeping in? (Callie looks up at Marie.)
Callie: Sorry. *Yawn* I didn't sleep good last night.
Marie: Another nightmare?
Callie: Yep.
Marie: Oh. Well, you need to get dressed. We gotta get going early today.
Callie: [small text] *sigh* Alright. [normal text] Uh, where are we going? (Callie stretches as she gets up.)
Marie: We've got a job to handle in Octo Canyon today. I hope you're up for it. (Marie talks.)
Callie: [Thought] Uh-oh, what is it this time? Octavio's in custody, so what could be wrong? (Callie looks down as she's thinking.)
Callie: I hope I'm ready for this. (Callie gets up.)

(Echo works on some of the orders with Spyke, music plays from a TV.)
(Rosie's watching the TV.)
Rosie: Echo! (Rosie flips around to face Echo.)
Echo: Yeah? (Echo doesn't turn to face Rosie since she's busy. Rosie runs up to Echo.)
Rosie: C'mon Echo! C'mon! C'mon! C'mooooon!
Echo: Whoa, Rosie Posie. What are you doing? I'm a little busy! (Rosie pulls Echo away from her work and to the TV.)
(Rosie plops in front of the TV with Echo.)
Echo: The news? Why'd you pull me over for this? (Echo is a bit irritated, but Rosie doesn't notice. She's excited to see what's on the news.)
Rosie: You gotta see what they're gonna say! (Rosie energetically looks up at Echo.)

Coral: You know what time it is!
Brooke: It's Inkopolis News time! (The two are on set.)
Coral: I'm Coral Reeves of Angel Reef, comin' to you live on our very first broadcast!
Brooke: And I'm Brooke Reeves, coming along for the ride! (They're excited to be on air)
Coral: Sweet rings of calamari! Brooke! It looks like something absolutely EPI~IC is coming!
Brooke: Really? And what's that? (They talk)
Coral: Splatfest is coming! And it's our first Splatfest as your hosts on Inkopolis News! AAAHHH!!!
Brooke: This ought to be fun!
Coral: Hey hey hey! Brooke! What's this Splatfest's theme?
Brooke: One second. I'm receiving the theme as we speak. This Splatfest's theme is...
Coral: ooohh... (Echo is now intrigued as she watches.)
Sound effect: 🎵Buh-buhbuh-duhduh🎶
Brooke: Who do you think is the fresher band of stars? Callie and Marie of the Squid Sisters or Pearl and Marina of Off the Hook? (Brooke talks)
Coral: That's easy! The Squid Sisters! They've got "that heavenly melody" and all that freshness! Let's be honest, Off the Hook probably wouldn't even EXIST if it weren't for the Squid Sisters. They're revolutionary! (Coral leans back and smirks)
Brooke: Mm, maybe. But you gotta admit, Off the Hook is awesome! Not only are they great singers, but their raps and synths bring everything together! (Brooke crosses her arms and jokingly rolls her eyes at Coral)
