3 days later

Mishti Bose

"Queen Elizabeth ne aankhen band karliya, humesha ke liye." Maanav read out the news line. I rolled my eyes and kept my books and steth in my bag. It was already raining so we were waiting until it slowed down, so that I could drive back home safely. And this stupid fellow never stopped irritating me.

"Yaar mast time hai. Chal kohinoor churake late hai." He nudged my shoulder.
"Haa aur tu kya karega? Koi 2nd hand seth ko bhech dega teen sou rupay ke liye." I commented and patted his cheek.
"Teen sou thoda zyada hogaya nahi?" He put a hand on my shoulder.
"Bhains ke aulad! Yaar tu apna pura weight mere pe kyu daalta hai!" I shrieked and removed his hand.

"Teri bestie nahi aarahi hai kya aaj?" He mocked about Kuhu.
"Wo nahi ayegi to hum plan kiske liye banaye? Tumhare poti ke liye?" I counter questioned. He was nicely trying to eat my head.
"Are ab to exams bhi khatam hogaye na. Tu itna chid kyu rahi hai?" Maanav asked.
Honestly, I was irritated by even the smallest things. My periods passed a week ago, so it has nothing to do with moodswings.

But that owl's incarnate named Abir Bharadwaj had totally shut me off. He was "doobing" in business meetings and work. Obviously he will be and I'm not asking him to roam around me all the time. But at least a message once in a day? No! Sir is busy constructing a bridge between India and London you see, so he can't even do that. Well, it does effect me.

"Kuhu ka call." Maanav said and put it on speaker.
"Maanav, tu aaraha hai na Mishti ke ghar?" She asked him, quiet tensed. I didn't like fighting with her. But she didn't had to hide anything from me. I'd never judge her, like she never did about me. She knows my deepest, darkest secrets and also my favourite perfume. When she knows everything about me, then I have a right of the same.

"Haa. Tu kaha hai?" He asked her.
"Ghar pe. Aur kaha?" Kuhu casually replied.
"Bahar mat aana. Child kidnappers zyada hogaye hai." He joked as even Kuhu laughed.
"Theek hai bete. Baad me dekhlungi tujhe. Ab nikal rahi hu. Jab tum log ghar pahunchoge to call karna." She informed and cut the call. Maanav looked at me gloomily.

"Yaar tum log mere Dholu Bholu ho. Kabhi Dholu Bholu ko jhagadte hue dekha hai kya? Wo dono kitni shiddath se apne boss Kaliya ka seva karte hai. Tum log bhi kuch seekho unse." He scoffed as the rain reduced.
"To tu finally accept karliya?" I asked suppressing my laughter.
"Kya?" He questioned.
"Ki tu Kaliya hai." I laughed out loud as he scrunched his face in disgust.

"Mai raju hai re." He groaned.
"Haa haa mighty raju. Jo sirf do baal maintain karta hai apne sir pe." I chuckled again. We reached my car and as I was about to open the door, a hand stopped me.
"Tumhare phone ko na kisi dumpyard me phekna. Koi kaam to nahi ayega usse." Abir stormed and I shifted back.

Why was he so angry all the time!

Abir Bharadwaj

"Sir, Mr.Ashok Chakravarthy is here." Maya informed and I nodded, letting her know that she could ask them to get in. I was waiting for these people since a month. Well they were too. The last month, I was busy with all the 'Miss, sorry, Doctor Bose drama'. That is why I had decided, I would avoid her as much as I could.

I needed to focus on my company. My dream of setting up a branch in London was just steps away from me. If I talk to this client, and if they accept our proposal, our sales range would improve drastically. And more profits means more branches. The one in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi were running well. But this branch, well it was reigning.

"Its a pleasure to finally meet you Mr.Bharadwaj. Aap shayad kaafi busy the ek mahine se." Mr.Chakravarthy mentioned as he sat down.
"Nothing like that sir. Kunal's sudden engagement took my whole time. Bas ab koi aur distractions nahi hai." I smiled and sat on my chair.
"As I have heard. Aapke bestfriend ke important moments me aap nahi hai to what's the use of being a friend?" He chuckled as I nodded.
