Kuhu Singh

"Alright. Mai call karungi okay. I'll try to be there." I answered to her. It was Maa's call. She kept annoying me on attending some rich funding gala that some dipshit businessman is throwing to show off his wealth. Ugh! I don't even know why Maa is dragging me.

"Tujhe to yaad nahi rahega. Reminder rakh le. And dress well. It's a good party where you'll meet good people." She said. I turned towards Mishti who was tensing up. Aunty had gone through an accident which wasn't an easy matter to her. She loved her mother with her dear life. And I didn't.

"Maa, please. Aur koi important baat hai to voicemail me upload kar dena. I've other work. Saara din aapke good people ke baare me sunne ka time nahi hai mere paas." I snapped and cut the the call irriatatedly.
"Kuhu, why do you even care? Chod na yaar she's not worth it." Mishti said.

"Sometimes I wish hum hospital me badal jaate. Atleast I would get a mom like Nitya aunty." I sighed. It's true that I'd trade my mom with Nitya aunty in a second.
"Aur mujhe tumhare mom ko jhelna padta na. Kya planning hai boss." She smiled nervously as I held her hand.

"Aunty ko kuch nahi hua hai Mishti. Don't worry at all. Usne bataya na sirf ek scratch hai." I assured her.
"Haa par you know right how much I hate these kind of news. The last time-"
"You're not thinking about him Mishti." I warned.
"I can't avoid it Kuhu. He died because of my negligence." She slumped back.

This is what I hate about him. He made her think it was her fault and this girl kept believing it. If he was alive I would have killed him by now.

"Aagaye." She said as my attention went not towards the hospital, but the one standing in front of the parking lot. It was him! Abir Bharadwaj! Oh my god!
"Mishti! Abir Bharadwaj is here! Yaar mai to ready bhi nahi hui. Magazine cover ke bahar bhi ye kitna hot lag raha hai yaar! Chal ek selfie lete hai. Maanav ke saamne pura flex kar sakte hai." I rambled.

"Tera kuch nahi ho sakta. Retriever ke tarah uska aage piche ghumte rehna. Mai jaa rahi hu Maa ke paas." She said boringly.
"Teekh hai jaa. Room number text karna." I said and she rolled her eyes.
I almost reached him but I crashed into something. No someone. And I tightly closed my eyes as I was about to hit the floor.

But a strong hand held mine and lifted me up. I fluttered my eyes open as I saw a man staring at me, concerned. His chocolate brown eyes seemed hypnotising me as I smiled involuntarily. Abir Bharadwaj can go fall from this hospital building. This hottie was so handsome compared to him.
"Aap teekh hai?" He asked. His voice was so deep.

"Kuhu! Are pagal aurat! Kitni baar call karu tujhe!" I heard Mishti shout and I closed my eyes breathing deeply to control my anger. She disturbed a romantic moment.
"Aapka friend hai shayad. Bula rahi hai." He informed as I nodded my head. Suddenly I became dumb.

"Aap sach me theek hai? Kuch hua to nahi?" He asked again.
"Kuch kuch hota hai Rahul. Tum nahi samjhoge." I said.
Fuck my dumb-ass brain for making me embarrass myself. He looked at me weirdly.
"I'm sorry what?" He defenitely would be thinking that I'm some nut job.

"Kuhu! Maa bula rahi hai yaar. Aarahi hai ki nahi?" Mishti held my hand and asked.
"Haa haa aarahi hu. Chal." I said as she dragged me.
I turned back and mouthed a thank you to him for which he gave a chaar sou chaalis volt smile.

Well, the day couldn't have gone any more better.

Mishti Bose

I ran inside to check upon Maa as Kuhu was drooling over some dumbass. I really didn't have time for that. So without a second thought I just left the place. As soon as I got inside the room, Maa smiled at me and forwarded her hand.
