Excuse My Mistakes!!!

Shashi woke up next day with an empty bed beside her. She looked at the bathroom door which is also hung open, she wondered where did her husband go. She got up from the bed, making her hairs into a bun, she came out of their room. There he was with all his glory, talking to Eric and Nathan. The frown on his forehead, telling her how angry he is. She slowly approached him with her all time beautiful smile. 

He turned around acknowledging her presence. She gave him the best and beautiful smile which he too returned gladly.

"Em ayindi bava?" She asked him seeing their serious faces. He didn't said anything but signed to Eric and Nathan to leave. She was looking at him and his actions keenly as well as irritated with their secrets. 

(What happened bava?)

Vaishnav sighed but the question mark in front of him won't leave without getting the answer. 

"Adi em ledu, eroju manam atthayya valla intiki veltunnam kada, ade cheptunna and manam intlo undam kada, so careful ga undandi ani cheptunna" He said though she gave him a suspicious look.

(Nothing happened, I was informing to be alert and careful as we would be going out.)

"Neetho abaddham chepthana cheppu" She gave him a 'don't butter' look.

"Let me remind you, neetho pelli ayye roju varaku naaku thelidu na bava, mamayya help cheyyadam kaadu armed forces ki secret ga work chesthunnadu ani and nuvvu emo neetho abaddham chepthana ani cheppakudadhu" She glared at him while he gave his innocent smile.

(Let me remind you, I don't know that you are working for the undercover armed forces until I got married to you.)

"Rowdy vi asalu nuvvu" She threw the cushion on him which he easily dodged with single hand making her whine a baby.

(You are a rowdy.)

After an hour, both got ready to leave. Shashi wearing a dark pink saree and Vaishnav with a royal blue shirt and white pants. After bidding bye to Eric and Nathan as well as warning them hundred times to eat lunch, Shashi got in the car.

Soon they reached her parent's home where Parvathi stood at the door to welcome the new couple. Shashi smiled at her other before pulling into a hug which Parvathi denied.

"Undu mundu dishti thiyyali" Shashi mouthed an 'ok' while Parvathi continued much to Vaishnav's protests.

(Wait, let me ward off the evil eyes.)

They went inside when Shashi immediately hugged her father tight, while the others chuckled. Kaushik came downstairs hearing the buzz.

"Inni rojulu illu prasantham ga undi nuvvu ochav malli gola modalu" Shashi ignored him while Rajaram smacked his head for teasing his daughter.

(Home was peaceful in all these days, you came and it's all noisy again.)

"Amma" He hissed in pain while the others especially Shashi laughed out loud.

(Ma!)

"Ah," Everyone looked the door where Hemanth was sobbing rubbing his head. 

Soon, everyone from both the families graced with their presence and the ladies moved towards the pooja room to start the ritual.

Padaharu Rojula Panduga 

On the 16th day after marriage, the bride wears a new saree and performs pooja before she transfers the 'Mangalasutralu' from yellow thread to the gold chain. This ritual can be performed by either the groom or an elderly member of the family. The groom or the elderly woman firstly makes the new bride wear another yellow thread which consists of a turmeric stag tied to it. Then he removes the Mangalasuthralu which he tied previously. Then either mother-in-law or mother helps the newly wed bride in arranging the gold chain.
