"On it." Chim nodded standing up

"Come on, come on, come on. Trevor. Trevor!" Athena was yelling as they walked her way, y/n went to her and placed a hand on her shoulder as she looked down at the boy covered in blood

"Mom-"

"No. No, no, no, no. I'm not gonna leave. No."

"Athena. Athena, we're here. We got it. We're here." Hen spoke calmly

"Come on" y/n grabbed her hand and helped her up

"C-collar flying in." Buck came in as y/n led Athena back

They watcher the 118 work to save the boy, an older man was crying in the distance as another boy around the same age stood trying to get past an officer to go to his friend.

"He's just a kid. A dumb, stupid kid." Athena shook her head

~

"Hey, so, uh, so what do you think?" Buck asked, he and y/n had come together and planned this after all that had happened with eddie

"They're really tall." Chris spoke as they continued walking closer to the horses

"If you don't want to do this or it gets too scary, we can leave." Eddie told Chris

"When do I get to ride one?" Chris asked happily

"Okay, maybe not that scary." Eddie smiled Looking out at all the horses

"First, I am gonna introduce you to all the horses, and then I'm gonna show you how to groom them and feed them, and then you're gonna walk around on a lead." The instructor told him

"That sounds like work." Chris looked up at her

"Yeah. Yeah, it's work. But it's how the horses learn to trust you, and you learn to trust the horses." She then looked up at Eddie "Can I show him around the place?"

"Sure." Eddie nodded before looking at Chris  "I'll be here if you need me, okay"

"Okay."

"All right." Eddie said as he watched  the two walk off

"Ready? Let's go meet some horses."

"Have fun." Eddie called out snaking an arm behind y/n's waist

"Okay, Dad. Thanks."

"Equine therapy?" Eddie asked

"I was doing some research with y/n and we found this place." Buck told him

"What kind of research?" Eddie asked confused

"Well, you were saying the other day how random everything seems." Y/n shrugged  "Like, is there- is there a point to anything?"

"I remember." Eddie looked down

"So before you joined the 118, right, we had this rule." Y/n began  "Don't go past the glass doors. We bring someone to the ER, we hand them over, and that's it... our job is done."

"Never heard that one." Eddie nodded

"I'm not sure who the first one to break the rule was." Buck shrugged  "Probably me."

"Yeah." Y/n chuckled

"Our job was always just to save the person in front of us. Whatever happens next, well, we we aren't supposed to know." Buck continued

"I can see the wisdom in that philosophy." Eddie nodded

"Well it got me thinking about the day you got shot." Y/n spoke softly as Eddie let go of her waist and turned away before he leaned against the railing in front of him as she continued "Well, with everything that happened, I almost forgot, that we weren't even there for a call We were only there because of-"
