Kpop Night Pt3

The couple ate breakfast in silence, each reflecting on where they were now.

How would this even work?

Sunoo didn't know anything anymore. Breathing on its own had become difficult. He had managed to focus just on eating, bite after bite until there was no food left.
Niki didn't seem in a better state of mind.

"So... what now?" asked Sunoo in a painful whisper, finally letting his fear out.
"I don't know" replied Niki.

They stared at each other for a while. The two boys had been together for a long time now and they had gone through a lot. Loss, pain, anger and even jealousy. Nothing had ever separated them before.
But what about something they had now in common?

"I love you" said Niki.
"I don't want to loose you" added Sunoo.

As Niki saw tears filling his boyfriend's eyes, he pushing him closer to hug him.

"You won't loose me" said Niki.

The gang usually met on Saturday to eat lunch together and hang out. They liked going to the arcade, the mall or just along the river.
As it was a beautiful day, Heeseung had texted in the group chat if they were up for going on rides in an amusement park.
Everyone had agreed and would be meeting soon at the bus station.

"It's going to be okay" said Sunoo, intertwining his fingers with Niki's.
"We can do this" replied Niki.

They had agreed to act casual and to see how the day would go. After all, this was just a little crush. It had to pass eventually.

"Hi!"

The pink haired boy soon felt arms hugging him from behind.

"Won!" he said. "You scared me!"
"Come on, I said Hi before hugging you" replied Jungwon laughing. "How are you guys?"

The couple hesitated half a second too much to answer.

"What's going on?" asked Jungwon.

He had an impressive flair for this kind of things. Plus, he loved taking care of his friends, which meant he saw everything.

"It's all good, we just slept badly" replied Sunoo.
"Yeah, apparently we fought for the cover, but I don't really remember" added Niki, making a sorry face at Sunoo.

That didn't seem to work on Jungwon. He frowned and was about to ask again, but the couple got saved by the newcomers.

"Yo!" greeted Jake, waving at them.
"Hey guys" added Heeseung. "Aren't Jay and Sunghoon here already?"
"Nope" replied Jungwon.
"Wow, you're not last to arrive two days in a row Hee!" said Niki. "It's a new record!"

Heeseung looked annoyed, but he couldn't contradict Niki. He was indeed always late, so the surprise of being in time was legitimate.

"Oh, there they are" said Jungwon, pointing at two people approaching.

As they got closer, one thing seemed clear: Jay and Sunghoon seemed different than yesterday.
Their complicity was gone and they weren't even talking to each other.
Tension was almost palpable.

Jungwon couldn't help but frowning, asking Jay a silent question.

"Hi!" said Jay. "You guys ready for the park?"

Hopefully, Jake sat next to Sunghoon in the bus. Jungwon had grabbed Jay and was currently using him as pillow, as he always did when they traveled.
Behind them, Hee, Niki and Sunoo were sitting next to each other. As it was the back of the bus, the row had five seats, with the two empty ones being used for their bags.

"With which one should we start?" asked Niki, excited about the rides. "I want to go to the scariest first.
"So megacoaster first?" asked Jungwon.
"Oh boy" mumbled Sunghoon.
"Are you okay?" asked Jake.

Sunghoon looked kind of pale.

"I've never tried going on rollercoasters... they're too scary" admitted Sunghoon.
"It's okay if you don't want to go" said Sunoo.
"Yes, there are a lot of chill rides as well" added Jay. "As I told you this morning."

Sunghoon nodded and they changed subjects. One thing was sure, Niki was excited.

As soon as the bus stopped in front of the amusement park, he practically jumped out, eager to get his ticket.

Once inside, the group headed for the famous megacoaster, leaded by Niki.
As they got closer, Sunghoon finally saw the ride. It had everything from looping to tornado spin, a true nightmare. And for some reason Niki was all smile, which remained a mystery to Sunghoon.

"Hey" said Sunoo.

Sunghoon looked at him and tried to smile, but it was obvious that he was scared.

"We meant it, you don't need to go if you don't want to, don't feel pressured into it" said Sunoo, offering a kind smile.
"But.. I think I should" said Sunghoon. "I'm scared, but I'll never know if I don't try it.
"Alright then" said Sunoo, nodding.

After a long queue, the boys finally arrived to the no return point: the seats.
The cars had four rows of four seats and the one in front of them only had three spots left.

"Let's gooo" shouted Niki, who couldn't wait for the next car.
"We'll split okay?" asked Sunoo.
"Just go or Niki will explode" replied Heeseung.
"Can I go with you?" asked Sunghoon.

Sunoo looked behind him.

"Sure" replied Sunoo.

"Wooooooohooooooooo" screamed Niki.
"Come on, we're not there yet" said Sunoo.

In fact, the ride started by slowly going up and up until it reached the peak point and just went down pretty fast.

"Are you okay?" asked Sunoo, looking at Sunghoon, who had chosen to go in between Niki and Sunoo to be safer.
"I'm not sure" said Sunghoon.
"You'll be okay" replied Sunoo.

Unfortunately there was no time to chat left. The ride was almost there and in two seconds everybody would be screaming.

Which they did. However, Sunghoon's voice sounded a lot more desperate than it should have been. His heart was beating faster than ever and he was terrified. Niki obviously noticed and did what he instinctively did which Sunoo when the latter was scared.
He held his hand.

Sunghoon grabbed it and it somehow calmed him a bit.

Together, they went through the big fall, the looping and the tornado spin. Niki was laughing for some reason that Sunghoon couldn't understand. However the ride didn't last long. In fact, it ended way too soon for Niki.

The three boys left the car and as soon as they were in the hallway to leave the ride, Sunoo hugged Sunghoon, soon followed by Niki.
Sunghoon froze as he wasn't expecting that.

"You did it!" said Niki.
"We're proud!" added Sunoo.

Sunghoon couldn't help but smile and finally hugged them back.
Time seemed to stop for a while, but only to them. In fact, somewhere behind them, the car the rest of the group had ridden had just stopped to let its passengers leave.

Hopefully, Sunoo heard steps coming towards them and stopped the hug.

"So?" asked Jay, smiling at Sunghoon.
"Oh hum" started Sunghoon, quickly glancing at Niki's hand. "Scary but thrilling."

The group continued, walking towards the next ride, unaware of a certain Sunghoon and his hand still burning from a certain touch and his heart still beating loudly because of a certain hug.
