After we were all ready we left. Once we got to the venue everyone got busy while Lucas took my hand and led me to the garden in the back
"Wow this is amazing," I said
"I know right," He said and dragged me further into the garden until we reached a big three and some swings
We sat down and I saw how beautiful the flowers looked around us.
"This is so incredible. I've never seen anything like this," I said
"You should see Japan in Cherry Blossom Season as well as Fiordland National Park, New Zealand, and El Yunque National Forest, Puerto Rico," He said smiling at me
"I have seen El Yunque National forest. Collin and his family took me there for my 15th birthday," I said
"You like nature?" He asked as he smiled knowing my answer already
I smiled back and nodded before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath.
"I loved going to this park full of flowers in New York and I used to sing there. But after a fight, I had with my mother we moved far away from the park and I never went there again. I stopped singing and painting as well. I basically stopped doing everything I loved," I said
"Why?" He asked
"I tried to please my mother from a young age and nothing was ever good enough for her. after the fight I realized that I'll never be good enough so I lost interest. I became depressed and bipolar," I said
"Are you okay? I mean are you taking pills and getting the help you need?" he asked
"Yeah I'm taking my pills and I did have a few months of therapy but stopped going since my mother didn't want to pay any more," I said
"You should talk to dad and Mason maybe you can..." He said
"I don't need it anymore I'm better. As long as I take my pills every day I'd be fine," I said and smiled at him before saying, "We should head in,"
He nodded and took my hand and went inside. As we entered we saw most guests arriving and some already arrived and having fun
"There you two are," Xavier said
"Hey, Big brother," Lucas said
"Let's go we have to go to our table. Almost everyone is here," Xander said as he came into view from behind his twin
"Okay," I said and took Xander's hand he held out for me
We walked to the table and I kept my head down too shy as people looked at us. I felt someone lift my head and heard Xavier say, "You're a Rodrigez be proud and never bow your head,"
I gave a small nod before giving a small smile and sat down next to dad and Nonno. A guy went onto the stage and started talking.
"Now let's welcome Alessio Rodrigez. He has a big announcement," the guy said
Dad stood up and took Hailey's hand before going up the stage.
"I'm glad everyone could make it tonight. Tonight is one of a few nights where we all settle our differences and make allies. tonight is also a special night where I'd like to introduce my youngest heir. My daughter. Luna Rodrigez," Dad said and Mason stood up and held out his hand for me.
I took it as I stood up and we went up onto the stage. Everyone gasped and started whispering as we went up.
"I know most of you would think I hide her her whole live but I didn't. My ex- wife was pregnant when she left and we never knew it until a few days ago," Dad said
"Julliana was pregnant?" A guy yelled
"She was," Mason said
"She hide it from you all?" A woman yelled and dad nodded his head
I heard the men say things about my beauty, somethings unapropiot about my body and bad things about what they would like to do to me. Mason's hand grip got tighter as he and dad was clearly angry
"Enough! You will not talk about her like that ever. The next one that thinks about speaking ill about her will die. Now that we're all clear have fun," Mason said and we walked down from the stage to get stopped by a familiar face
"Gio," I said surprised
"My beautiful butterfly it's been to long. I missed you," He said as Mason pulled me a bit back and he and dad stood between us
"Russo how do you know my sister?" Mason asked
"Well I never knew she was your sister. Anyways I know her from a park we both used to love to visit in New York. She has a an amazing voice. One that even nature it self love," Gio said making me blush
"It's not that good," I said shying away
"It is," a familiar voice said
"Luca. Good to see you again," I said
"You too,"Luca said
"How do you know The Russo's?" Nonno asked
"Well I meet Gio at the park and Luca came looking for him," I said with a smile
"And you like them?" Lucas asked as all my family members glared at them
"Yeah Gio is quite funny and always acts to serouis and Luca is a smart thinker but kind and fair," I said
"Gio, Luca, Dad wants you back at the table," a voice said and my eyes widen a bit when I saw Blake and Ares
"That's our cue to go. I'll see you soon Butterfly," Gio said and wink at me before disappearing
"Are you blushing?" Xavier asked
"W-what No!" I said and looked away
Hailey and Nonna laughed a bit while my brothers groaned.
"No. No way. You can't like them," Xander said
"Can I have a dance?" I asked dad who smiled at me and nodded his head as he held out his hand and I placed my hand in his
We went to the dance floor and started dancing. As we danced I couldn't help but smile. It felt like I was gliding across the dance floor, like I was free. As we danced dad whispered into my ear, "Do youreally like Gio that much?"
"What do you mean?" I asked
"I saw how you look at him. do you love him?" He asked
"No, I mean I had a crush on him when we met and liked him ever since but I haven't seen him in three years. It's not like i didn't lose my feelings for him but it also has changed," I said looking down
"I see. What would you do if I told you that you're suppose to marry him," he said making me look up and into his eyes
"What are you talking about?" I asked
"Your grandfather made a deal with his grandfather a marriage arrangement to strengthen our families," he said
"Oh does he know that?" I asked and dad nodded his head saying yess
