Most people have heard of BDSM before. But what does it stand for?
Generally, it stands for Bondage, Discipline, Sadism, Masochism.
The abbreviation can be take taken apart in pairs of two as well:
BD stands for Bondage and Discipline,
DS stands for Dominance and Submission,
SM stands for Sadism and Masochism.
Kink is an umbrella term for all "non-standard" sexual preferences (kinks), including BDSM. Therefore, BDSM is considered a kink.
