"Don't touch her." She looked up to find Death holding a nightmare by it's neck before stabbing it with a long knife he had on his side. He looked down at her with fire in his eyes before holding out his hand to her.

"Who let you leave the house without a weapon? You can't win with only your good looks." His smile made her scowl before taking his hand. He helped her stand before bringing her close in a hug. She felt something cold being put her hand before looking down to see a small knife, almost like a small sword.

"Never leave anywhere without it. I can't have my woman walking around like a defenseless damsel." She rolled her eyes before looking over to find Pitch looking in between them with a blank face. She watched Death turn to her father with the same expression as they stared at each other, both with dead rogues at their feet.

They hadn't really told anyone about their relationship, not really caring about releasing that information. They hadn't really even become a relationship to each other.

"You hurt her and I'll show you something worse than what you represent, understand?" She sucked in a breath, Pitch may not be at full nightmare power but there were things he could do with his magic that was worse than death. Some things would make you wish you had died.

"Yes, sir." She watched Pitch leave with that before she looked over at Death. He blinked at the empty spot before looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm still more scared of Jackson." She laughed before leaning into his side.

-----------------------------

"You're dating Mother Nature." Death held a short breath. Jack was straight to the point on this one. They had spent the day together despite the looming conversation over them as they ignored it. He knew Pitch probably went back to Emily and told her who in return told Jack.

"I am." He watched Jack out the corner of his eye as the boy stared at the sun going down. He wondered what was going through his head. He knew Jack was protective of the women in his life ever since becoming more comfortable in his own life and self. He watched the boy before noticing how the blue in his eyes became darker, the area around them grow cold.

"You're one of my best friends, Death, but if you do anything to hurt her. I'll have to do something. Got it?" He watched his friends eyes meet his as he felt the power in the air. He nodded, he meant exactly what he said to Sera a few days ago.

To Death, Jack Frost was scarier than Pitch Black.

------------------------------

"Kiss my ass."

"When and where, darl- OW." Death winced but didn't drop the smile as Seraphina slapped him hard on the arm.

"I'll kill you if you tell anyone, understand?" He nodded. Seraphina stood next to him in the creek that hid deep in the woods of Canada. They had crashed landed in a big pile of mud when her wind decided it didn't want to hold them anymore. They had to wash off somewhere before going to the North Pole for North's dinner he put together.

"I won't tell a soul. We got to wash off before going or else Jack will make jokes that both of us got dirty together." She snorted before jumping into the small pool of water. He watched her swim around with a slight smile. The water grew clear around her as her power made everything in the nature around them seem to glow. He swallowed before looking around him, everything wilted and darker.

He hesitated joining her, hesitant to making this glow go away. He loved everything about her despite their polar opposite jobs and powers.

"Death, get out of your head and get in the water. It's cold in here." He heard the underlying words as he smiled.

"Yes ma'am."

------------------------------

Manny looked down as Death and Mother Nature had fallen asleep side by side in a field of flowers somewhere deep in the grapevines of Italy.

He took in the way the side that Seraphina laid on, the Earth had overgrown with flowers and the plants looked almost unearthly with her power.

He looked to the side Death laid on, the way the plants seemed to wilt a little and the grass grew a little darker.

Even despite both of these things, he watched as Seraphina turned in her sleep to lay her head in the crook of Death's neck while the man turned to hold her. They cuddled close in the field as the area around them joined together in looking both vibrant and dark at the same time.

"And everyone calls me the couple meddler." He laughed softly before turning to find Jack looking over his shoulder. The boy was visiting him for what would be a weekend on Earth.

"Only when it's a couple who needs each other. I'm sure you understand that, don't you Jackson?" He watched boy blush slightly before rolling his eyes, walking away. He looked back one last time before walking away.

Opposites attract in the best ways sometimes.
