"You're leaving tonight and you don't plan on telling me? I had to hear it from Chaeng? Really? You suddenly tell her things that you don't tell me?"

Jennie hesitantly followed Jisoo into her room and quietly closed the door behind her. They were in Jisoo's room but to Jennie, it felt like it was hers too. Glancing at a distraught Jisoo, she sighed. It was true. She's moving to Daejeon with her family tomorrow. It's probably a good idea to be away for awhile, especially from Jisoo. "It was my mom's decision and you know I can't argue with her."

"Jen, you argue with literally anyone who dares asks you to move away here. There is no way you 'can't' just argue with her." Jennie didn't reply. She just stood by the door and watched Jisoo pours herself a glass of wine. Jisoo was shaking in the midst of the action, she noticed. "What happened? Did I do something wrong?"

"No. Of course not. What could you possibly do to make me stay away from you?" Jennie winced at the lie that came out of . Technically, it really was about Jisoo. It's always about Jisoo.

"Then what is it? Is it Haein?" Jennie took a deep breathe and mentally slap herself. She's ready. Yes. I'm ready. Is she really? She can't just keep lying to Jisoo about her feelings. If only Jisoo could shut up for a few seconds then maybe she already told the truth. Just blurt it out, Jennie"I swear to God if Haein's doing--"

"I'm in love with you." There. I said it.. I really said it, out loud and proud. Oh my God. What did I just do?!

"I'm sorry Jen but I think I heard you wrong. Could you repeat that again?" Jisoo turned around to face her bestfriend and watched as Jennie opened to speak but she held up her hands to stopped her. Jisoo laughed and shook her head. "Wait you know what? Nevermind. I heard it and it's a not a funny joke. Nice try of changing the topic. Did Haein prank you again?"

"This is not some kind of joke, Kim Jisoo!" Jennie huffed and glared at a laughing Jisoo. She just confessed that she was in love with her and all she gets is a laugh? She was expecting something worse like a bunch of 'what the hell?' or a slap in the face but not this.

"Kim Jennie, stop. Seriously. You've had your fun but the joke is over. Now tell me why you're going away" Jisoo mocked her and took a sip of her wine. Jennie took a deep breath and momentarily looked up at the ceiling to get her thoughts straight.

Ehem. She's not straight. Anyways.

She took a seat on the bed and motioned for Jisoo to do the same. She pat the bed beside her and Jisoo complied giving her a wary look. "If this is about that one time I pranked you that a snake bit me, then I get it. It's a good revenge."

"It's not about that." Jennie rolled her eyes and punched Jisoo's arms lightly. Looking back on the prank, she realized she still needed a good revenge.

It was when Jisoo had invited her to another party at her friend's house but Jennie didn't want to spend all evening following Jisoo like a lost puppy in a sea of rich and drunk teenagers. So she declined the offer but Jisoo can't just take no for an answer. So Jisoo thought it was the perfect idea to text her that she got bitten by a snake in the pool. Oh it was the perfect idea alright because Jennie did come. Jennie knew in some small part of her brain that it was stupid situation that a snake had decided to crashed a party in the middle of nowhere but the idea of Jisoo being hurt or being in pain was a bigger part of her brain. Jisoo is always the priority.

"I'm in love with you, Kim Jisoo. Ever since the first time we met in the park, I knew there was something about you. It doesn't matter to me if we've known each for what? 3 months? 4 months? I know what I'm feeling when I'm with you. Butterflies, excitement, nervousness. Feeling all of these different emotions at the same time and it's getting harder to hide it from you. Hell, with everything that had happened in my life, it gets suffocating. But you... you were my reminder to keep breathing." Jennie held her hands to stop Jisoo who already opened to interrupt her. If this was the last straw for the both of them and the friendship they had created, then Jennie wants to be able to say the words she never had the chance to say before. "I have loved you for a long time now, stood by you, took care of you, giving you the love you deserve even if I didn't get it back."
