Chapter 5

The girls were about to go to lunch as they decide to take a break, but then Dahyun decides to stay behind & practice some more as they leave the blondie alone in the dance studio, but little does she know is that practice alone will be interrupted by some unwanted visitors. The state officers come in with a little bit of knocking on the door as they enter the studio, which kinda worries the pale girl as she may think she might go to jail for stealing a baby

"Hello officers." "Hello ma'am, might we talk to you for a second?" "Uhhh, sure." Already looking scared as she might get booked & might get life in prison, Dahyun looks at the officers trying not to panic as she then asks them, "did I do anything wrong?" "No ma'am, you're not in trouble, you're fine, we just need to ask you some questions."

The baby. Figured that's what they're here to talk to Dahyun for as she knows she might be fucked 100%, but then again, she's already thinking to herself that she should have listened to Jihyo on filing that missing persons report, but then again, it's mostly for her to basically cooperate on a search party for the girl's parents, right?

"What is this about?" "Well, we saw your neighbor with his kids & a random baby walking around the park, do you know anything about this?" Ah, fucking hell is all Dahyun can think of in her head as the cover looks like it's already being blown at this point. Sure, she feels like cussing her neighbor out when she gets home, but she's more likely to at least stay calm & let him live...........for now

"Yes officer, I'm raising the little one & while I'm here, he's babysitting" which is mostly the truth as to what she's telling as there isn't a single lie detected at all. "Do you know where you found her?" Alright, time for the moment of truth. No backing out. No lying. Time to fess up like a survivor. "On the side of the convenience store as I was heading home. I have the letter that was attached to the basket." "Can we see it ma'am?"

Dahyun nods her head & then goes to her purse where she has kept the letter just in case she wants to possibly use it as evidence & then gives it to them for them to look it over & read it as she gets completely nervous that someone this young may end up in jail for life

"You said you're taking care of the baby, right?" "Yes sir." "And you didn't report her missing, correct?" "Yes officer. I'm not going to jail, am I?" "No ma'am, but do you know who this belongs to?" "I don't know"

That was literally all they needed to hear as they give her a missing persons report & has her filing the papers, but then once she signs it, the thoughts of her mind & what she told Jihyo that she wanted to protect the little girl. You think she'd be lying, right? Of course not, when she says it, she really means it as she's doing a good job at it

"We're gonna do our best to investigate, okay?" Noticing full well that might be a fucking lie. Dahyun nods her head & looks more scared as they start walking away before the girls come back after passing by them & kinda figured what the hell is going on

The pale blondie knows she has a lot of explaining to do as the lying & stopping practicing, the jig is up, but knows what she's getting herself into. Besides, surely nothing bad is mostly gonna happen if she tells them the truth, right? Right?

"Uhhh, what were the police doing here?," Mina asked a silent Dahyun as the first question was already asked, but doesn't say anything as she then looks at the only person that already knows about the situation at hand. "Dahyun, is everything okay?" Still no answer by a concerned Nayeon as she looks at the scared happy pill, but then Jihyo can't take watching her like this as she then goes to her & whispers, "you can do this," which gives away the reveal already

"Do what exactly? Dahyun, what is going on here?," asked Chaeyoung as both her & Jihyo are basically standing there & the happy blondie takes a deep breath as she then admits, "the officers came to talk to me." "About what exactly?," asked Momo as the truth is about to literally come out completely. "A baby that I'm raising." The rest of the girls are in complete shock to hear what their member just said as Sana asked, "wait a minute, so that car seat you was carrying a couple of weeks ago, that was a baby inside?" as she finally figured it all out. At first, she thought that she was carrying it for either her mom or JYP, but that's really not it at all

While everyone else is trying to figure out what they just heard, maknae Choi Tzuyu raises her hand as she asks, "who knows about this?" "Only my neighbor & Jihyo." "You knew about this & you didn't even bother to say anything?" "She was the first to tell me, but she wanted it to keep it between me & her." "Well, I mean we could've helped out." Little did Jeongyeon knew, that Dahyun was waiting for the right time to tell them alone. "Well that's the thing, Jeongyeon. Dahyun wanted to wait for the right moment to tell you guys herself"

Letting it all sink in, the members look at their sister as they just now officially know the whole truth & what has been going on, but then, the silence breaks away as Momo asks, "what's her name?" "I haven't thought of a name for her yet." "Who's her parents?," asked Jeongyeon. "I don't know, they're doing an investigation as we speak." Dahyun tries not to let tears come out as the girls start consoling her as they give her a group hug as they now start to feel that their happy-go-lucky girl is a mom..............well, not yet that is
